Equipment Guide
Hey guys! Equipment is easily one of the most confusing aspects of DH (so much so that even vets like myself are still struggling to understand it), so I'm here to help y'all out. I'm not perfect, so while writing this, I will make some assumptions and inferences based upon knowledge that I already have. Any speculation will be marked with an *. Be sure to confirm or correct any marked sections so that I may edit them.
What is Equipment?
Think of Equipment as more advanced runes. They give your creatures and heroes better attributes just like runes do, but with one major difference: they're tied to your account, and not to any one creature or hero. This means that if you equip an Orange Lv5 Sword, its effects will be applied to ALL of your creatures in ALL of your decks.
Equipment comes in the same rarities as runes do:
They also come in levels, 1 through 5 (level 5 Equipment will be stronger than level 1 Equipment of the same rarity).
What does Equipment do?
Equipment is not to be underestimated. Their effects are arguably even stronger than those of runes:
In addition to these attributes, your Equipment can also have a bonus skill as well (this is only the list that IGG gave us. If you have a skill that isn't on this list, please let me know):
How do I even get Equipment?
Unlike runes, Equipment has to be made yourself, so there is no way to "draw" Equipment (however, it may be given out as rewards from events). This is done through a Smelting, Crafting, and Upgrading.
Let's talk about Smelting and Upgrading first, because they're fairly simple.
In order to Craft Equipment, you need Materials (these have rarities, just like Equipment. Rarer Materials can craft rarer Equipment). These Materials can be obtained by Smelting them over a period of time.
Also in the Smelting interface, there is a button that will take you to the Lucky Flip interface. This is where you can try your luck on getting good materials for a fairly cheap price (don't be deterred by the "Lucky" in the name. This is actually a good feature). I've gotten some blue and purple Materials with Lucky Flip, and a ton of my guildmates have even gotten orange Materials!
If you don't have the gems to do Lucky Flip, you can just Upgrade your lower rarity Materials into higher rarity Materials. All you need is 4 of one thing in order to Upgrade it.
This can also be done to Equipment itself! So if you have 4 purple Lv4 Swords, then you can Upgrade them into a single, orange Lv4 Sword. But beware, doing this will NOT give your new Equipment any bonus skills or attributes that your old Equipment may have had.
Now, time to talk about the vastly more complicated Crafting. This is actually how you go about making your Equipment, once you have Materials.
First, you select the Equipment that you want to Craft.
Second, select the Materials that you want to use. On the right, it will tell you the rarities that your Equipment could come out as when you Craft it (using rare materials will give you a higher chance to get rare Equipment as a result).
Third, select how many Sparks you want to use (if you have any). Using Sparks will give your Equipment a higher chance of obtaining a bonus skill (listed above).
Fourth, hit "Craft". All of your Materials will be consumed, and you will receive a brand new piece of Equipment.
Lastly, make sure that you know that lower level Equipment must be crafted in order to unlock higher level Equipment. For example, in order to craft a Lv 5 Sword, you need to craft a Lv 4 Sword first (rarity doesn't matter here).
Tips and Advice
Work towards higher rarity Equipment - I can't stress enough how much of an edge that good Equipment gives you against someone who has bad or no Equipment. It is comparable to going against someone who has no runes whilst you have insane runes.
Use your Lucky Flip refreshes wisely - Using the Lucky Flip gets most expensive the more squares that you flip. In order to combat this, just refresh after 3 or 4 flips.

Color | White | Green | Blue | Purple | Orange |
They also come in levels, 1 through 5 (level 5 Equipment will be stronger than level 1 Equipment of the same rarity).
What does Equipment do?
Equipment is not to be underestimated. Their effects are arguably even stronger than those of runes:
- Critical Rate - Gives your creatures a chance to increase their ATK by 100% when performing basic attacks (basically a global Battleblow).
- Critical Resist - Gives your creatures a resistance to your enemy's Critical Rate. If your enemy has 30% Critical Rate, and you have 30% Critical Resist, then the enemy creatures won't be able to perform Critical attacks.
- Evasion Rate - Gives your creatures a chance to Dodge enemy creatures' basic attacks (*).
- Hit Rate - Gives your creatures a resistance to your enemy creatures' Evasion Rate. If your enemy has a 30% Evasion Rate, and you have a 30% Hit Rate, then enemy creatures won't be able to use Evasion (*).
- Skill Potency - Gives your creatures' skills greater strength. In a video that evolved303 uploaded, his Stabthrough Border Rangers can be seen hitting the enemy hero for godlike amounts of damage with the assistance of increased Skill Potency. (* I'm very unsure of what all is effected by this stat)
- Skill Resistance - Gives your creatures a resistance to your enemy's Skill Potency. If your enemy has 30% Skill Potency, and you have 30% Skill Resist, then your enemy's Skill Potency stat will be completely negated (*).
In addition to these attributes, your Equipment can also have a bonus skill as well (this is only the list that IGG gave us. If you have a skill that isn't on this list, please let me know):
- Unholy Rites - Grants a 30% chance to chance to destroy the lowest Cost Creature in your hand to duplicate the highest Cost Creature on your field. The duplicate will have 100% of the Creature's initial ATK and HP.
- Law - Grants a 50% chance to inflict Rip on 3 random enemy Creatures at the start of your turn. Creatures inflicted with Rip can't be healed with Magical Skills.
- Blitz - Grants a 30% chance to reduce the wait time of all Creatures in your Hand by #1.
- Salvage - Grants a 20% chance to return one Creature from your Graveyard to your Deck at the start of your turn. This effect can't be negated.
- Pacifist - Grants a 25% chance to prevent opponent Hero from gaining Rage on the next turn.
- Confine - Grants a 30% chance to increase the wait time of all Creatures in your opponent's hand by 2 turn(s).
- Backup - Grants a 30% chance to draw an additional card at the start of your turn.
- Impede - Grants a 30% chance to prevent your opponent from drawing a card on their turn.
- Harrow - Each turn you have a 40% chance to cause all damage to one random enemy creature to be increased by 50%
