Nerfioli Ravioli
IGG put me on your f*cking balancing team.
We all know that DH is unbalanced as hell, and although IGG doesn't listen to a word I say (which they should, because I'm a genius), it's still fun to discuss buffs and nerfs that would make the game better. So here's my dank list of hero, creature, and talent buffs/nerfs:
(Legend: Buff (a positive change) - Nerf (a negative change) - Berf (both a positive and a negative change)
Heroes
Druidess -
> Remove the "reduce all damage to 1" portion of Storm Ward and replace it with a percentage damage reduction that increases per level. Decrease damage dealt per Storm War proc.
I think we can all agree that Druidess is just way too f*cking strong. In all of my time playing video games, I've never come across something that was as blatantly overpowered as she is. My proposed nerf is to make Storm Warded crits a bit less immortal than they are, and to tone down the damage that they deal when you damage them.
Oceanus -
> Limit the number of Clones to 2.
In my opinion, it's a bit unfair that Oceanus can just have an unlimited number of your cloned crits in play (this is made even worse by the fact that he automatically targets your strongest crit). I feel like limiting him to 2 Clones will make him just a tad bit less annoying.
Captivator -
> Cause Snow Harlot to be effected by Crazed Sorrow's percentage damage.
Since she can't attack, she can't be effected by the HP reduction, which is just dumb. You aren't safe in your coffin, snow ho.
Armageddon -
> If you are at max rage, and no enemy creature is in the graveyard, Revive one of your own creatures and reduce your rage to 0.
Armageddon's enormous drawback is that he can often sit at max rage for multiple turns, unable to trigger his hero skill. This proposed buff would make him at least a bit more viable in the current meta.
Thor -
> Increase Direct DMG dealt by 0.5x per each enemy creature on the field.
Thor is long overdue for a buff. He's just so... bad.
Taskmistress -
> Increase the rounds that the Clones last as you level her up.
Taskmistress is a really badass hero going to waste. Buffing her Clones would certainly make her much more viable.
Wight -
> Make Death Curse immune to Mantra, but add a 5,000 damage cap to it.
#MakeWightGreatAgain amirite? Wight got nerfed into the f*cking ground... And although I'll admit that he was way too good in GMs, he didn't deserve this heavy of a nerf. I propose that you make his Death Curse work again, but add a damage cap so that he isn't dealing millions of damage by round 25.
Creatures
Aquarius -
> Remove the rage reduction effect from Hibernation.
Aquarius is so stupidly broken that it actually hurts my brain. The rage reduction (+ unavoidable mass freeze) from Freezing Field is one thing, but the SECOND rage reduction (and unavoidable mass freeze) from Hibernation is way too much.
Taurus -
> Reduce the Direct DMG from Omega Impact by 30%.
Taurus, just like her little ice cube of a sister, is also stupidly broken. She's the only creature in the entire game (besides Boaty McBoatFace) who is able to put out such ridiculous amounts of unavoidable damage across so many creatures in so little time. Nerf that s*** fam.
Lilith -
> Replace Discord with (S)Mass Charm.
Although she'd still see very little play, this would at least be a step in the right direction. Also, this would open up some nice melding opportunities. So there's that...
Yeti -
> Remove the threshold required to trigger Bellow.
Yeti would actually be quite good if Bellow wasn't so annoyingly hard to trigger (for more than one turn >_>).
Oinari -
> Reduce wait timer to 4. Replace Feral Fever with Earth Totem.
Her 6 turn wait timer just makes her a sitting duck for Scumposals and Scumstakills. Also, no one likes Feral Fever, so let's just make everyone happy and replace it with Earth Totem, because HP is HP.
Killer Queen -
> Turn Guilt into a global debuff instead of an On Play debuff. BUT, remove Guilt from all enemy creatures when Killer Queen dies.
This is how you turn Killer Queen into a Zodiac tier crit . Plus, she needs some love after that painful nerf that she received forever ago.
Valkyrie -
> Turn Wings of Aegis into a permenant buff instead of a 1 turn buff.
Wings of Aegis has so much potential to be a really good ability, but it just doesn't last nearly as long enough as it needs to.
