Please help me with a decision about an Anathema meld.
Some time ago I decided to meld sneak 8 on Anathema and tried to meld it once. Failed and now he is on 30% experience.
However, some time later I received the Arcane Sage with Sneak 9. What should I do?
1) continue with the Sneak 8 meld and not lose the 30% (one card) or disregard the 30% experience and go for either 2) Sneak 9 or 3) Sac8?
Is there a big difference between sneak 8 and 9?

So far I like The Twins very much, because they attack and defend with extra Direct DMG. But I have no experience with Anathema!Sac8...

Yes anathema is way better. You need bullseye. With twins its about luck.

Sac is good but dont waste it on anathema. Sac will be useful for stronger crits in future. Sneak does the same damage. Just need to trigger firestorm through hero talents or creature skills.

If u already started with sneak 8, i would go for it.
Yes, Sac Ana is a powerful ftp sac crit.
But the Damage output is similar, if u have Firestorm on ur Hero and/or Fl. Summoner in ur deck. Also Ana can prepare enemy crits by herself for sneak with poison(immu can stop it).
Sac Ana will stay on the Board longer than Sneak Ana, but (nearly)destroys one of ur own crits. Thats the pro and con.
Since u already have Twins Sac with ur only rune, maybe u go next then for Sac.
U are around the same as me in tourney u told me a while ago. Sneak Ana, SAC Twins is still solid at that places and ahead.

Sneak crits will be useless against Immunity decks, so it does not worth it at all at the top. Also does not worth much to meld Sneak 9 away from Arcane Sage, as he already had synergy and it's one-shot killer for almost anything without dodge or Immunity (3.2k damage +500 from Vacuum bomb).. My vote is for Sac 8, it would make a very reliable hitter (depending on luck, it may be better than Sac 8 Twins).

I voted for Sneak 9. One creature deep is not too bad to waste and start over fresh with a new meld, especially since Anathema is in the coupon altar pool and GM1. My thoughts, since you only have 1 sac rune and are happy with your sac Twins, getting a sac Anathema would take away from that. Sac is only good with the rune. If you end up liking Sneak 8, you're going to kick yourself for not letting that 30% go to waste to get the increased level 9 version for the long run - as Koloi mentioned, Hellfire and Firestorm go through immunity so are great to set up Sneak. If you had the extra sac rune, I would go sac Anathema though - great stats paired with Stoneskin and Bullseye are solid.

Sorry guys, but Anathema's skill is Gas Cloud which IS blocked by Immunity. Sneak is only solid in very specific decks (in this particular case, having Flare Summoner and a Firestorm hero will nearly guarantee sneak will proc).

Thanks everyone for the great input! Really helps coming to a decision. I will go for the sneak 9, which in my case is probably best.
My deck has Niddhog rec1 and Niddhog revive, hence a very strong neander HP buff (1000), adding to survivability. And a Flare Summoner to deal fire through immunity. So it will often trigger Sneak, immu or not.
Compared to sac8, sneak will in my case have a comparable ATK, 75% of the HP (due to buffs), but the benefit of not (almost) losing a crit.
And as BlackTone pointed out, Anathema's are rather common, better waste one to gain an extra 30% ATK.

You won't get 30% more attack, but only 15%. Sneak 9 mean 135% boost compared to 120% for Sneak 8. Anyway, with the deck you mentioned you can't go wrong,so have fun either way

Go for Sneak 8 and use it in a Warlock Deck with Firestorm and Freezing Dance and a Flare Summoner. No problems then.

I ended op with the least favourite option and melded, very lucky, Sneak 9 onto it at first try. My deck is heavily Neander based with Niddhog Rec and Niddhog Revive and hence a lot of extra HP for Neanders. With Firestorm, Flame Summoner and Freezing Dance it has a very high proc chance.
The next Anathema is up for Sac8 though.

Anathema was the first sac8 that I ever melded, and I still use him in my main deck; when the time comes I think you'll quite enjoy your own =)
