There are different considerations to be made, but there is just one that matters: what is really game-changing for the average player? That's what I asked myself when I actually won those 250k gems (plus 18k just some days earlier). Of course maximizing the spending by combining multiple events like momoya, lucky draw, discount on skill essences is advised, but if you ask most of the high-end players the answer, and my answer, would be: use gems for special package offers and build yourself Twilight Ronin, and you'll get also omni skills, 5*melds and other bonus in the meanwhile. No chance anything you could get from momoya or any combined event, except maybe a noble lord item with blade shard, would change your game so much. Getting Aquarius is maybe the third in the list, on par with D-Rev Artolia or other similar melded beasts. The big difference between getting Ronin and chasing a blade shard or aqua, is that Ronin is a guaranteed return for your gems, the rest is gambling. You might get a Druidess as well if you do Plat wheel until the end (or earlier if you are lucky), that's guaranteed, but Druidess is good from lv.6 on, while Ronin is already the best hero out of the box. With my 250k gems budget (that where more bc of a couple of Alice went by in the meanwhile) I built myself a Ronin (and upgraded him a bit so I got more 5*melds also), a D-Rev Artolia (by Ultima events and those 5*melds), some more material and upgrades for my creatures (omni skills), and in the end with a bit of luck, combining some events with momoya, I found myself with enough points and sparks to build a few Noble Lord equips which gave me, among others, Unholy Rites and Confine. All in all, it was game-changing, as I am stable at #2 in arena and reached #155 in tournament.

Depends on where you are in the game.
Platinum spin is great if you stll need stuff from LP mall.
Deck Duel is good is you have the time for it.
Spending on energy saveup for energy events.
Value packs can be great too.

Hi Guys,
Really good advice! i did think of just using it solely on ronin value packs but, I felt using 120k investment in the current Momoya event might be a good option.
This has been my return so far.
Full completion of Platinum Spin 100k:
Aquarius, spirit caller, druidess, lv11 omni skill, 2x dodge runes, mimir tree, nidhogg, roughly 150k glory, 300 fragments - (levelled my lv 4 Zweihen arifact to lv5), glacial pendant, titan bangle, warlods band, crimson lotus, a few other things along with 100k LP.
roughly 20k Lost relic: 10 Hanzo shards (hanzo LR event), Granite dragon, demon hunter, 15 omni shards, along with a few other shards non important.
By doing both lost relic and lucky spin I generated 4614 points in momoya = 98th rankings (still deciding to keep investing for the rewards of 60 sparks), completion of Hanzo using omni shards (I luckily got hanzo shard discounts in the mall = 10 for 1,600 tickets) and I strategically spread the cost of doing the lucky spin and lost relic events to maximise the spark rewards from bi-hourly momoya.
For instance, every 2 hours waiting to see who had the least spent to get the 3 sparks and then spinning and doing LR event to obtain enough for the 3 sparks rewards. This strategy maximised my 120k gem spend and got me roughly 20 sparks and lv 2 equipment material for free. This resulted in constructing a noble lord item which I luckily got a purple item with a skill ( Convalesce, pretty s*** but ill take it...)
Overall, A massive improvement to my stagnated deck! As I am a veteran FTP player

Ronin Hero Skill activates every your turn and avoid opponent Heroes Skill activating. He is the best Hero in no doubt.
Blade Shard is the best Equipment Skill in no doubt.
Octivous was the best Creature in the past but now he died so easily. While Queen Artolia with 1 HP standing in front of him activating as many as 6 to 10 skill in a single opponent round, install Kill, D-Revive, D-Disposal etc.

Just in case it had beem missed - Alchemy! Saving for that 500k pot is pretty hard, but it will be worth ~2 alice cycles in free gems (or more if you get super lucky). If you get half way for free, and you can get ~60k per cycle - so if you save for around 4 alice cycles you could make it to 500k

Take off 118K for the next set of bonds = 59K. Add in the ~1k per month we get for free and you clear over 60K per cycle if you don't spend.
Just in case you had missed my point - you make almost all the 60K from Alices bonds - not in addition to it.
Also, same calcs apply to the 96K strat - you just get 155K back instead (but make the same profit)

If you never go below 118k gems, when alice bond comes, you can buy all bonds in a row without having to claim any gem, making it 177k and a real profit of 177k-118k=59k gems. If you never go below 96k(96.something gems, don't exactly remember), when alice bond comes , you can buy all bonds but you need to use first claim of the main bonds to achieve it, making real profit not to be 59k gems but 59k - ~18k = 41k benefit aprox (18k is an approximate count which comes from the sum of the first claim of the bonds you need to use to buy all of them). All gem values between ~96k and 118k will produce a clean benefit of minimum 41k and maximum 59k. Then, alice bond's clean benefit depens on wether you are more conservative or not on spending your gems and the value you have when AB starts... Anyway, as you said, impossible to make 60k from alice bond, since maximum is 59k. But I guess we can all agree that 59k is not far away from 60k

I had already quantified the extra gains - or do you miss my gfollowup posted 16hrs before your reply?
You seem to have fallen into a common misconception or misunderstanding about the 96K purchase. You still make 59K profit on the gems in both cases, you get exactly the same bonuses. The only difference come the end of the cycle (if you do not gain/spend anywhere else) is you have the 22K 'spare' gems you are left with after buying all bonds for 118K and claiming the first repayment.
I.e. 118K => 177K after all claims, 96K => 155K after all claims.
It doesn't matter how many gems you have saved, as long as you buy all the bonds you get all the profits. The missing step to your logic is that you don't make 50% on the reclaimed gems you reinvest, which is incorrect. The key point is that, even by reinvesting the initial claims to make all the purchases with a base 96K, you still get all the +50% Alice bonuses of all the gems invested. If you (and many others) insist that 118K gems gets a better deal, then you are mistaken.
Just incase you cannot easily see why this is true (write out the schedule if you need further convincing), in the case that you have 118K gems to start, you buy all bonds and get 1.5x as many back over 8 payments. It is easy to rationalise that for the first 5 and 1/3rd repayments you get back your initial 118K stake, and the following 2 and 2/3rds are the bonus 50%. Therefore, all of the first claims cound towards your initial stake, so by reclaiming some on the stake and reinvesting it again into the remaining bonds, you will still make the bonus 50% on it all, but have to upfront only 96K rather than 118K - which classes as a 61% gain on your initial investment rather than 50%. This can only be acheived since the bonds are taken out individually, and part of the stake is imediately paid back (which can then be used to stake other bonds). I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered before indepth on this forum if you would like a second opinion.
Anyway, as I said - and you have agreed (even though for some reason you think you think you are correcting my mistake?) - that you can easily save ~60K per cycle (~ means aproximately, since you two seem to have missed it), but the actual approximation will be more like 61K or 62K, depending on delays - it might even push to 65K+ if bonds are delayed and we have events like deck duals (prob 1K+ gems for anyone with full bonds). I also stipulated it was the approximate amount made per cycle - not directly from only alice bonds (and yes 59K =~ 60K, since in most cases +/- 2% is considered a good approximation).
We are still wating on a reply from valinorean as to whether he had meant that you canot save 60K gems in an AB cycle without using AB.

So the point is not dropping from 118k. I was gaining 40k before. You put it so well that I can see it clearly. Shame I wasn't aware of that. It's a pitty that alchemy event is ending before 10 Alices!

WOW WOW WOW, sorry for not having answered upon your thread, I didn't know you would feel offended... My intention was to give my point of view on that comment valinorean said, and I felt it was more correct to reference the previous comment and not yours. Not here to fight, since I hate trashtalking on such forums. Nevertheless If you felt offended my apologies, not my intention at all, but I would reccomend you not to get angry on such things, they won't give you any good I appreciate the correction, indeed 59k gems is the bonus you always get. It is true that when a bond is bought you always get 150% back. What I wanted to point out is that with 118k you would start already with ~22k gems to work with at first rebate, while with 96k you would need to wait till the second rebate to start using gems. Nevertheless, as you said, it is an offset difference. Finally I wasn't correcting your statement about 59k being close to 60k, I was indeed agreeing with you. Didn't meant to leave any message between the lines. Message wasn't anything else but 59k is close to 60k. Cheers and enjoy this P2W game , it is still possible

I would say that its almost impossible to save so many gems if you keep playing. 1- At least one round of platinum. 2- At least 100 gems on mine 2.daily. 3- Some Tournament mall purchases on extra enery. Kind 40 gems daily. 4- Relics. About 500 gems per event. Very very difficult to save all gems!!

No worried, no offence taken - I'm just known around here to be a little on the harsh side from time to time. What you had posted is provably incorrect and potentially misleading (as shown by valinorea's reply):
"If you never go below 96k(96.something gems, don't exactly remember), when alice bond comes , you can buy all bonds but you need to use first claim of the main bonds to achieve it, making real profit not to be 59k gems but 59k - ~18k = 41k benefit aprox (18k is an approximate count which comes from the sum of the first claim of the bonds you need to use to buy all of them).
All gem values between ~96k and 118k will produce a clean benefit of minimum 41k and maximum 59k."
I set out why this is false in my reply, and it seems you now agree. You are correct, you will have 22k gems to spend if you save 118K of AB, but thats 22K you couldn't spend in the last cycle. True it is always nice to have a buffer incase agood deal comes around - but this often happens before AB, so we spend up and have to buy more to purchase bonds (IGG are sneaky!). 118K becomes a somewhat arbitrary buffer in that case - the only benefit of have this many (more more) gems for AB is you don't need to purchase the 60K bond first (hardly much of a bonus). If you saved around 100K gems, you would have enough to run most events in the first week (outside ultima chests) and still have 18K gems to spend before AB arives if something somes up worth spending it on.
To be clear: Please everyone, do not think that having anything over 96,625 gems for Alice's bonds (i.e. the ability to purchase all bonds available) gives you any more (or less) 'free' gems from AB.
The bottom of this wiki page also sets out why

118K total investment cost in all bonds @50% bounus back => 177K return.
Why run mine 2? I posted something on this before, but I think it works out that you get the same amount of ore per gem in mine 2 and mine 3, the difference being you get 5* shards from mine 3. Much better value for money invested.

Running 2nd mine just for ore. Working on lvl 9 Armageddon. That's all. Not really interested in the shards. There is nothing in mines besides revive and rec2. Mine 3 is 350 daily. Maybe worth on x2 day. But still a lot of gems.

I agree with you, and my experience with mine 3 gave me great satisfactions. I collected several mystics both whole and with shards, two hyppo, and more. Now I don't really need it bc I have so many revivers and rec2, but it's probably the best gem investment I did when I was mid-to-high level. For me, it's better to do mine 3 1st chest once every 3(.5) days than mine 2 1st chest once a day, unless you want just arma and some artifact shards, that is.

In spending/value terms, you get twice the ore for 3.5x the gems 2nd : 3rd mine 1st chest. BUT, if you sell all shards, if you get 4 or more creature shards on average and 1 hero shard the 3rd mine gives slightly better value. Less shards and the 2nd mine is better, but any more and the 3rd mine starts to pull greatly ahead in terms of efficiency. So, if you only mined the 3rd mine at weekends and sold all drops you would get a bit more ore and spend the same gems as mining the 2nd mine every day (on average, going on my own experience/drop expectations). This is good value if you are also looking for 1 or 2 5* shards and selling the rest - but if you keep all shards you the ore costs much more per gem spent in the 3rd mine.
Note on double ore days - doen't change the value prospect between the 2 mines, just makes then both cheaper. double ore day 3rd mine is then 4x ore for 3.5x the cost of the second mine on a regular day - so worth it if you regualrly mine the 2nd mine daily.
Also, for the 3rd gem 1st chest miners, if you mine this regularly, then a double ore blessed mine is worth going to the 2nd chest, as it costs 600 gems for 1 days worth of ore and shards - at ~85% the usual cost per ore/shard.
Slowly going SA9, but my heart really isn't in it (half the time I cannot be bothered to do the energy mine!) - its almost 190K ore to do just the last upgrade!

We can get Adapt (reaper, crimson, zweihander) & Arcana Artifact (warlord band, pendant, pike) shards from both mine2 and 3. FYI Mine2 first chest will give around 14-15 shards by spending 100 gems while Mine3 first chest will give around 17-18 shards by spending 350 gems. So if you are just looking for artifact shards, mine2 gives more shards per gem spent.

I have not spent much time in mine 2, so I cannot tell if the rates for adept vs arcana drops are different - but I would assume mine 3 had a better arcana rate.

I have never thought about privileging artifact shards over any decent creature shard, but maybe now that I have reaped heaps of rev and rec critters in mine 3, I could develop my artifacts further. Interesting thread.

tbh i cant notice any big difference in term of adapt or arcana shard drop/ rates between mine2 and 3. So i assume that they are the same. But based on what i got from mine2 most of the time, zweihander is quite rare, then follow by reaper. My current artifact shards: Pike 1078 Pendant 918 Reaper 827 Crimson 979 Zweihander 605 From here, we can see that some of the artifact shards are quite rare compared to others. Need more data from other players as well =)
