Deck Heroes (DH) strategy.

DH is a game where you need to plan months ahead, therefore effectively spending your recources can reduce the time it takes you to farm the same things by weeks, example : If you have a Stronger hero early it will increase the recourses gained – getting you even stronger heroes quicker.
Im not going to go over all the options you have, not how to meld or where to find the cards (use google, wiki etc) This is just a general guide of what is widely considered the best choice.
1. Gems
Upgrading to star membership for 5,99 is very helpful.
Purchasing gems is not recommended, it can quickly get out of control and you end up with a bill that is too high for a mobile phone app. You will not catch up to top players and in the end it wont matter if you have a decent guild map deck in 1 month or 2 months. This is a slow game and patience is key.
If you do decide to purchase gems, buy in larger bulk, and wait for the plus 50% event.
-First, you draw once 5x at the altar for 1350, this will give you a guaranteed 5 Star.
-Then you purchase the “map guide” boosters at the top of exploration map 3-6.
-Then you should save for human boosters (Great mystic one of the most impactful cards in the game, and humans are very effective at guild maps – gauntlets and trials)
-Then you can spend 800 gems on ultima chests, once you reach map 8+ in exploration, or buy boosters.
2. Glory points
These you gain in large quantity off arena, guild battles and Raids (raids aim for 5-10k a day), you can search with lower deck strength to find weaker oppontns.
Make sure you upgrade your heroes, and purchase Runes as soon as you get Glory so you don’t lose them when you get raided in turn.
3. Decks you will always use.
Guild map deck – Consists of Hero - Wight, Oracles and tanks and lets you farm 500k gold every guild map attempt.
Zora marauder deck, you can use him, oracles, a tank and healing cards - to finish off creatures with 400k hp or more, definitely a very cheap option. Wights curse will often get dispelled in those situations.
Hero damage Face deck – Consists of Hero – Agni or Chaos witch (With shadow hex) with Dark witches, Frost Caller, Ursa major, Spirit sirens, Gorgons. This lets you beat otherwise way too difficult maps, or skip one opponent in the gauntlet, its just a generally useful thing to have.
Your main deck, this is where your best cards are found. For me, its human.
4. Daily exploration and Maze exploration
Primarily explore for creature shards, at first a few frost ragers. Meld with mend off the blood warlock for a very solid guild map choice.
Oracles should be explored daily until you have 12 to 15 of them, so .. months to years.
Mazes should be done with the leftover energy. At least one time a day for the daily.
5. Obtaining heroes quickly
1. Wight
2. Other 4 star
or Zora marauder – chaos witch
then more 4 stars
4 star heroes are multiple times stronger than 3 star, and will provide the biggest upgrade. It is recommended that you focus on wight first, you will buy all the shards for him – and one secondary hero for your main deck when you have recources left over – and it doesn’t interfere with purchasing wight every time you can.
You have 3 main incomes for 4 star heroes, Guild points, Trials, Gauntlet.
6. Guild maps
Find the best guild you can - *this forum, having many maps open is a huge advantage (every open map lets you do 2 attempts more, while they don’t get much harder), also guild battles are a significant glory point and guild point income.
You will need 900 Guild Points (GP) =to purchase 3 hero shards daily since the shop refreshs, this can go up to 1800 for 6.
Main sources of GP (over 1k) are
1. Guild battles,
2. Lasthitting guild dungeons
3. Completing guild maps
4. Beeing ranked high in damage.
I had great succsess with the hero Patriach, that deals full damage to all enemy creatures on guild maps. But that’s just lucky if you find something like that.
You have to be that guy, and ideally wait to lasthit maps. Its such a huge benefit.
Lasthitting guild dungeons can be a achieved with zora marauder, the best when there is only one or two creature left. This will also rank you high in damage for an additional 500-1000 Gp at the end of the map.
Another way is to put a tank with frost armor, at least 2 oracles (if theres no curse that deals extra damage) and things like flame brave, or things with assassinate and picking off. For increased damage. Note that you only have 100 turns, so If you deal 500 damage a turn, the most you can achieve is 50,000.
7. Trials
These let you purchase 3 wight shards for 1200, and you need to reach appx. Lvl 50 for 1200 shards daily. Its fine if you reach 40 and get 1000 though. That will only be 3 shards / 5 days that you lose.
I personally speed through it and auto – skip until I lose the first time, then I manually get as far as I can. I don’t feel like spending too much time here, since the extra 15 shards per level doesn’t feel worth it.
8. Gauntlet
You should be able to clear this once a day, ideally. You have 3 runs at it with all your creatures a day. (Day 1 morning – Finish old gauntlet, Reset – Start new one, Day 1 Evening progress in new gauntlet, Day 2 morning, Finish old gauntlet, reset) and so on.
Raid decks are incredibly potent here, since they already build for tankyness that can let you clear without losing a creature.
I skip through the first 2 attempts with my main deck. At level 40 I was able to auto complete up to the last one in one go. Now it takes a little longer.
9. Runes
Runes should be purchased with most of your glory points daily.
The ones you use should be upgraded to –
1* level 5
2* Level 4
3* Level 3
4* Level 3
5* level 3
You cant go wrong with the Protean Rune (attack – hp), Attack rune, Vitality rune. For healers you want rune of the healer, for mend you want the mend rune.
10. Cards you cant have enough of
Swordmaster is an incredible card – Get one for completing 5-8 hard, 10-1 hard. Its one of the best tanks in the game.
Horned beast is also incredible (5-3, 6, 9)

Other tips
Make an alternate Facebook account, used for linking deck heroes. (the one where you are asked to share when you receive a 4 star creature), this will net you one coupon.
Items in the mail can be saved for future use
Check the bazaar constantly, and buy anything for gold.
Leaving a guild will put a 72 hour timer on you before you can join another one. Make sure you chose wisely!
Be patient when melding. Wait for extra meld day. (though I did meld a frost rager to see how it works. Its fine with cards like that)
