Well, I'm late to the party and now have to kill a 130k HP hero behind an absolutely monstrous deck. Nobodies done this since the Hero Vigor over-buff, at least according to Battle Reports.
Anybody have any bright ideas? I could definitely use one before I even attempt this!

Someone just beat this using neander deck. Wow, that was impressive. Actually seems easier now.. No, it's not. If you notice, you need to have very specific setup in order to beat it. Both sea wizard and the dragon must come out along with 2 recyclers. For those who don't have strong deck with paragon, this is the only way to beat it in both medium and hard. Actually it's the only way to beat this stage at all 3 difficulties if you don't have 5 star heroes (warlock/Captivator/Thor). Before 7.5 update, you can use stab deck to beat easy and hard.

But for 13-12 hard, you need to beat medium .. so stab is not enough.. With good Hero Vigor rune you now have much more time to wait before Spikey Bits.. you can wait for 6 creatures to land on board (where 7th can be one of those needed) .. it shoudnt be that hard to repeat map until it settles..

Just seen the replay - Great tactic actually. Still needs a fair bit of luck to pull off but definitely do-able!
13-12 easy and hard are definitely much more difficult since patch, normal is obviously easier though.
Pre-patch I beat easy mode with a 5 card deck on my first attempt but I couldn't get past normal for the life of me. If the patch had come after this last meld event I thing I could have pulled it off - I just didn't have enough Neanders that could take that much of a beating previously.
I'll give it a shot later on when I get chance, should just need a couple of changes to the deck I beat normal with and a gratuitous sprinkling of luck.

Took me about 25 attempts but worth the effort! That Mimir's Tree is a blessing in disguise. Congrats! But how did you do it finally? And more important for me, how did you beat the medium stage? Both of my Battle Reports are still up, so you can check them out in game if you like. In a nutshell - Spiky Bits + Hero Vigor rune to give you a HP buffer. I've got a level 3 Hero Vigor V rune, which is an extra 30k hero HP. For Normal: Hold your cards until you have 3 of Hippo, Fafnir, Azure & Sea Wizard in play and the 4th will be played next round. Play enough cards to trigger Spiky Bits, preferrably all or them should have either FA or Sac8 so that they will survive a couple of rounds. As long as you can kill Hippo + Fafnir in the same round it's mostly downhill from there. You'll take other cards down in the process too and probably be left with 4-5 cards you have to deal with. If Paragon also dies to Spiky Bits it's just a matter of time, as long as you have enough hero HP left. Bullseye, Stoneskin + Direct damage crits are obviously your friends. For Hard : It's almost the same as medium, with a small trick. First you want to use Spiky Bits similarly to Medium, getting rid of at least Hippo + Fafnir. You then want to keep Mimir's Tree alive - he takes 0 damage from normal attacks. You want a FA crit facing him, to take a controlled amount of damage, this can't be a Bullseye Creature or Twins, Cancer etc as you don't want to damage Mimir's. A Mass Heal or similiar to keep your FA crit alive - I used a crappy (level 3 2*) Heal Amplify rune in my hero so that one Mass Heal would sustain any of my FA crits...Alternatively, FA Crit with Restoration would remove the need for a healing support. Queen Temptress to keep Odin's rage in check. She should obviously be as far right as possible. A runed Curse card makes a poor, but workable, stand-in. Once Mimir's + your FA Crit are far left and you have the board under control just play all your crits, they'll just slowly grind Odin down. The decks I used are far from the best but I did have a few nice melds I had been working on mainly for this level. Normal Deck: Berserker - Aura 5, Full Alert 8, Spiky Bits 9. Sac Twins FA Anathema FA Panther Chief Stab Graboid x2 Nean Raptor - level 10 Recycle Light Brave Recycle Swordmaster Pit Dragon - level 10 Valkyrie Staboids were just there for Spiky Bits really, I didn't even bother removing runes. Nean Raptor was there for Spiky Bits, I should have used Ursa or something really though. Pt Dragon + Valkyrie were used for Bullseye to help clear up a little. The rest should be self-explanatory. Hard Deck: Berserker - as above Sac Twins FA Anathema FA Panther Chief Stab Graboid x2 Ursa - level 10 Ash Beast - level 10 Queen Temptress - level 10 Recycle Light Brave Recycle Swordmaster I swapped in QT for rage control, Ash Beast just for his Mass Heal and Ursa because I realised I had another FA Neander that could replace the terrible Nean Raptor. Hopefully that's enough info to go on, happy to provide any more specific info if required.

WOW Thank you so much for that impressive amount of information I will try it today in evening when i'll be at home. I have very similar cards (hero as well crits), so now i have new hope to beat that two (medium, hard) stages of 13-12. If i need more info i won't hesitate to ask you

Good luck man, go get that Dragonlord! Edit - Just to add, don't be disheartened if the enemy don't get the right card draws straight away. I wasted a fair bit of energy waiting for favourable draws, if Azure Dragon and Angel Prime are the first cards drawn and Hippo, Fafnir + Sea Wizard are the last then you've got virtually no chance unless you have at least a 70k HP hero. Eventually you'll get lucky and the 4 important cards (Casters + Recycles) will pop up in the first 4-6 cards, once this happens the odds are definitely in your favour.

Hello sonbalin, By any chance do you remember how you cleared maps 13-5 to 13-12 ? I had lost hope in getting Dragonlord, until i saw your post, thanks a lot :] Hey, sorry for the late reply. I can remember most of them to be honest but there wasn't one set strategy. Stab decks were used though as I got up to 13-12 medium before the nerf. Stab IS still prefectly viable for some dungeons anyway, despite the re-balance. 13-5 - I did this with Curse+Stab on easy. I also did it with just Stab on medium, post patch so that's still effective. 13-6 - Predator Healing based deck on all difficulties. 13-7 - same as 13-6 13-8 - I think I used a Curse + Stab deck here which will be much more difficult post-patch. A regular deck with at least one Disposal should be perfectly viable though. 13-9 - Predator Healing deck. 13-10 - I used Stab but this will be tough now. A more regular deck will probably be a better option. 13-11 - I used Stab but Spiky Bits will be better now, this is essentially an 'easier' 13-12 13-12 - What I said in posts above. If you want more detailed decks or strategies tag me in a thread from those maps. I'll be happy to help all I can but don't want to start writing an essay in this thread, where it doesn't really belong.

I'm onto this now (hard) - I can only see 2 battle reports up there (both are spiky bits, Berserker/Captivator). I have a feeling that you need a really specific draw for that to work, that is highly unlikely.
Anyone else trying out some other tactics? I've got Oceanus so trying various stabthrough or high damage approaches but that 130k hero is hard to whittle down. I'm thinking I need a staboid at least to get started...
EDIT: Actually there are loads of battle reports, gonna check them out.

Finally after trying like 300 times I got my Dragonlord!
You have to wait for the right drop: you want Sea Wizard and Azure Dragon in the first 5 drops and preferably Hippo and Fafnir early too.

I completed this stage with this deck Berserk - lv.9 Neader Aura 9 , Spiky bits 10, Full Alert 9(hero vigor 4 - level 7,initial rage 3 - level 5) FA Panther Chief FA Anathema Ursa level 10 FA Graboid Rec1 Horned Beast Rec1 Horned Beast FA Oracle FA Paladin Paragon(It came last so the only purpose of it was to damage the hero)
I've just waited for the right draw. You'll always need Azura Dragon and Sea Wizard in the first 5 cards and at least 1 REC2 card.Mimir's Tree need to survive and put in first position card with FA and without Bullseye.I've done around 60-70 tries.

Thanks for the support. After numerous and unsuccessfull tries with Hydra Berserk/war hungry with many bulleyes on 13 hard (I used this one with success for both easy & normal), I did it also with Berserk after four tries.
Twins FA 2x Panthers FA Ursa Major 2x Oracle FA 2x horned beast Rec1 Grab FA Paragon
The draw was not that good with Sea wizard on first, hippo four, Azure five and fafnir eight. Painful Deva was third and I needed to handle and anticipate this one with one of the two stoneskin. Finished it with less than 1000 hit points (started at 51K) so it was close but got my Lord! ;-)))

One thing I couldn't figure out is why Spiky Bits wouldn't always trigger for all 3 of my cards that were enhanced with it. I finally figured out that if your card has Immunity on it, it may block Spiky Bits and not trigger for that card. So Ursa Major wasn't working well for me because of his immunity. Now I understand why you guys are using Frost Armor. I finally got through easy and normal... still working on hard. I have read a lot of threads, but do not remember seeing this tip anywhere. I hope it helps someone else and they don't have to go through what I did! TIP - Stay away from using Immunity with Spiky Bits if you possibly can!

I gave it about 50 tries before changing my comp and about 10 tries with this deck before succeeding.
The trick here is to throw Flare as quick as possible, let hellfire stack 3 times on the max enemies possible and let him die before Mimir spawn. After that, just juggle with your cards, adapting to enemy's deck.
Berzerker 8, Full Alert 8, Spiky Bits 9, Hero Vegor V level 4, Heal Amplify III level 7 - Geomancer / Paragon - Mythril Drone level 14 - Michael BB8 - HB recycle 2 - HB recycle 1 - Panther FA - Flare Summonner - Oracle FA - Queen Temptress level 15 vanilla - Anathema FA
All quite easy to get for an ftp.
Need some lucky draws here but this is how I managed to kill the hero : Wait for a maximum of enemy cards to draw, until you got Flare. By this time your rage bar should be full to trigger the boar and allow you to get Spiky Bits straight on. To maximize the effect, add a second card so that the max number of target cards is met (3). This will multiply the effect of reflect from Sea Wizard and Azure. Of course wait SB to proc 3 times before throwing the Drone. Divine Wrath is quite good at neutralizing Flare, which you want to kill quickly once he applied his 3 stacks of hellfire. So don't try to reduce Odin's rage until Flare is dead. With a lot of luck with Mimir spawning late, you should deal enough damage to the all enemy deck to kill them in a couple of rounds.
Wait to throw QT until you're sure she will use osmose. Before being able to do that, stay aware of Odin's rage, wait until it procs before throwing your cards.
Note that managing Flare is key here as Mimir's tree shouldn't get affected by Hellfire if you don't want to compromise the mission.
So now on top of SB and Hellfire, you'll add a Michael left as well. He will clean the FA/Block enemy cards quickly but stays squishy to allow him to die and replace him later. Try to put an FA crit first left so that the facing card is Mimir.
If Flare kills enough enemies and dies before it affects Mimir, then you will notice that it will get easier and easier to take control as your recyclers will allow your own cards to kill/respawn/kill/respawn... Always one recycler on the field as right as possible and the other recycle ready in your hand in case the 1st one dies.
Try to juggle with the available cards according to the enemy's facing you. Ideally, tro to end up with from left to right : - Panther FA - Anathema Then - Michael - Mythril - Oracle - HB And then - HB - Geo/Paragon - QT
You can't auto even once you're set as you need to keep your flare in your hand until the very last hit.
PS: My Flare Summonner does have Detonate 5. I forgot to remove the rune... adding an extra Hellfire on Mimir, which obviously I wanted to avoid.
