Guys,
I'm Lvl 73 and slowly earning some Tournament credits. Current rate is 34-48/hour. I have around 7000 credits now. Now I'm trying to get my 1st 5* hero. Unfortunately Oceans and Amma don't appear there. Based on you experience can you tell me, which 5-star hero I should buy from Tournament ? And why is it?
Judgement
Overlord
Captivator
Warlock
Thanks fro the support!

All the map 15 battle reports are Captivator for the win. I managed to get to 15-8 with Armageddon, but can't progress further without Captivator ( 98/100 ). Best hero in the game by far imo.

Captivator > Judgement > Warlock >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Overlord However, Judgement helps with clearing Protean 5 Grimoire so if you have a good Mine hero you could also consider getting Judgement. Also, I think Judgement looks badass as f*** so that is a factor you might consider too. Maybe if you put it in a Tournament deck people will be afraid to fight you because of how scary it looks

- Cap is insane on any level - Judge is crazy good at lv5+ + additional uses in-game features - Warlock is as solid as can be, gotta have him - Overlord is good for exploring maps with war hungry and berserk

Thank you all for the replies. I will strat collecting captivator then. it seems: 100 shards = 50 purchases = 50 x 4000 credits = 200,000 credits I earn 40 x 24 = 960 per day 200,000 / 960 approximately 7 months dammit I have to collect for 7 months. 0_O

However, I do agree that you should work on your tourney decks asap. More points are more shards and will reduce the time needed to get a hero. Also, when you get to the point of 80/85 shards it would be good to save all gp cards and gp rewards from gw. you want to refresh those talents as quickly as possible and you need certain talents for certain setups. Some talents are very rare compared to others, which can take a long time to get. Don't be surprised that if you want to get Group Tactics you could be investing over 500k gp for that 1 talent.

Captivator is by far the best tourney hero. Solid at any level. But at lvl 5+ she becomes insane.

Level 5 will take a year to complete though, be warned. I've been buying Capt shards every time she popped up in the mall, and I'm still at 75/100 (out of which, 12 were obtained in the gauntlet). I've been playing 6 months.

But at lvl 5+ she becomes insane. solid as she is...warlock is her Achilles heel....just like any hero , there will be another hero whose rage skills counter one another...just like how captivator is Oceanus' bane...this is when decks are similar in comparison.

I love how underrated Warlock is. I simply adore underrated things. He is the only hero I know of who can face everything ranging from Wight to Light's Hands to Captivator and even saved my a$$ from Spirit Arbiter many times. No other hero is more versatile in my opinion.

I agree with both of you. Warlock is an amazing hero, but having both of them(Captivator(lvl 5) and Warlock(lvl4)), I think Captivator is better. Or works better with my own main deck. Just that skill(Crazen Sorrow) that gives your creatures with little HP left a free round and they can be healed almost at full HP in that round and also reduces all enemy creatures HP to minimum... It's amazing.

At high levels of play: Cap>WL>Judge>OL Mid-Lower levels: Cap>Judge>WL>OL
I wouldn't say WL is overrated as there a lot in tourney, but Captivator, Oceanus, and the new heroes are definitely better. Warlock needs a buff. To start with, the 2k heal cap is dumb and should be higher.

Judgement needs a serious buff if they're gonna make Warlock heal more than he already does. Heck, Judgement and Overlord probably need a buff anyway.

Overlord would be great if they just upped the bonus from his ghoul feast skill - since it is a bit tricky to activate skills at high level (especially one that requires the enemies to STAY dead ) there would be no harm in doubling the amount of healing/attack it provides and make it something quite spectacular instead of relatively lacklustre unless he is really high level.

Can I get some advice from you guys on Tourney hero?
So I want to get Captivator, but he is really rare as a drop in mall. Then I thought to take Judgement first and build Hero kill deck with it not to spread my lines too thin in Tourney. But as we got Hydra, I think that it can power hero kill with Berserk/War Hungry and stab deck rendering getting Judgement obsolete.
So what do you think on this? I don't know if Hydra can do that effectively or rather stick to Judgement plan.
Thanks

This was stated earlier. Hydra is a great use of War Hungry/Berserk to use for Trials, Explorer Maps, Gauntlet. Most players would not keep those talents on a Captivator anyway unless they were trying to finish a map for some reason. IMO Lv1 Hydra is not an improvement on my current Tourney decks (Wight, Predator, DR)
Without knowing what cards you have and I'm assuming this is your first 5* Hero, then I would still go for Cap or Judgement.
Captivator is more of an attacking Hero, allowing your cards an extra turn of attacking as well as wiping out the enemy's board on some occasions. Judgement will keep your cards alive longer, but the cards will need to be able to take out the enemy cards.

I personally like Captivator best followed by WL then Judge, I got into an argument with a bunch of WK guys who said OL was best. Got into a pretty heated exchange, WK really loved their OL.

I'm starting to really like my overlord actually. Probably just because he's my only 5* I've got past lvl 1 and actually have the talents I want on him. But he's been really solid for me. Got me up to #1 arena recently against a few guys that made the final 64 of GC.

Usability is good for all..except trials and explore...captivator is more any occasion except against an equally strong warlock deck else ....

When I first started playing, I drew a spirit siren for my guaranteed 5*. So for a long time my game strategy revolved around that lockdown, and how I could kill off opponents on the field in 2 turns. Of course this wasn't viable as I moved on, but now Captivator brings the same option to the table. It really can't be underestimated how valuable it is to have a turn of guaranteed lockdown. Very tough to counter.

Although Warlock just helps negate the effects of the enemy hero. If the enemy deck is better, it is still going to win.
Oceanus on the other hand has the potential to clone even the most impressive deck in the game.
So yes, Warlock is ALMOST as bad as Oceanus.
