Merits (the last win gives A LOT), and chance to get more shards 5* shards (up to 2 in my experience in total per 10 win streak).

Merits (the last win gives A LOT), and chance to get more shards 5* shards (up to 2 in my experience in total per 10 win streak). You can get more than 2 shards in a single win streak, I have had 3 a couple of times.

Strange, I did few times 10 strike, but didn't get any shards. Or I should claim these shards somewhere?

You all are confused about "all out" attack I guess. Coz you don't get shards with 10 win streaks.

You all are confused about "all out" attack I guess. Coz you don't get shards with 10 win streaks. Shards are random from attacks. I don't do single attacks usually. I've been getting a few shards every 10 wins streaks.

Shards are all-out-only and do not require one to get a streak of 10 (you generally get one after 1-3 completed battles. I have never gotten one after the 10th). I think that if you're in the "wrong" game mode (i.e. you've left Faction War and gone to do Trials or something), you will still receive any shards you were meant to receive, only you're not told about it. The battles continue even if you leave Faction War, or even the game altogether.
The secret to getting a streak of 10 is simply building a deck that can take down most opponents. Creatures and heroes do not retain damage between battles and any killed creatures are not counted as dead in subsequent battles. Because of this, Bless is not necessary, as opposed to in the Gauntlet. The only manner in which dead creatures and heroes count is if you lose a battle. Any creatures or hero dead at the end of a losing battle will remain dead and take time (1 hour for creatures, 2 hours for heroes, I believe) to be revived so you can use them again. This is also an advantage of a 10-streak winning streak: Your creatures and hero can be instantly deployed again.
You also seemingly do not get matched up with people with similar deck strengths, but with a random opponent, so sandbagging is out of the question.

You can sandbag but you get matched up with players +/- 2000 power of yours. Heroes look like they retain damage at least. I think if you lose creatures on the 10th battle they stay dead too.

I actually wonder wether the opponents are random or what.. last time I did quite a few 10x easily now after only a couple of turns I kept getting squashed by lvl 100+ players with a deck thats quite out of my league still..

I do use bless, otherwise you might meet your hero with 1/3 of his health when you start a new streak. Would you mind explaining the term sandbagging in that matter ?

Sandbagging means deploying a weak team, since you get matched up with teams within a certainly threshold of your deck's strength. Like, if you deploy a deck of 2000 cost, the highest cost deck you can face is one with 4000. Apparently, sanbagging does work for Faction War, but not as well as in some other modes., where the threshold is much smaller than 2000 below or above your deck strength.

If the creatures are not counted as dead, then how come at the end of my 10-win streak... some of my creatures are dead and need to wait for 1 hour cooldown? This was clarified a little later down: Spirits and heroes do not count as dead unless: A) You lose a battle (anything killed in that battle will count as dead) B) You lose any creatures in your 10th battle (even though you win it) Spirits and heroes do not count as dead unless it's after the very last battle, be it the one you lost or the 10th one and you won.
