What modes affect the Gauntlet opponent power? I've been keeping my decks artificially low so that I can clear it everyday, but I'm worried I'm handicapping myself in other parts of the game.
I've heard the main 4 decks affect the opponent power. I've had deck powers increase over my imposed cap via Hero Enhancements. As long as I didn't use the decks in battle it doesn't seem like the cap changed. I don't know if this is true if you just build a deck and never use it, but it seems to be true if the deck power increases after being built.
Gauntlet decks don't affect the cap. How about Tournament decks?

I still don't understand why people bother doing this... I have never done this and always got through fine. There are plenty of ways to clear the gauntlet without relying on your main/arena deck to do the job.
To mention a few:
- Dark witches deck - Stabthrough deck - Using the opponent's sacrifice (1 card deck with 1 star hero) - 1 Card disposal/insta deck - Spiky bits deck

I never bothered doing this either. I figured I wanted my main deck to be stong so I could keep my rank in arena high which meant more glory and gold everyday. I also heard that the harder the gauntlet, the better the rewards? I'm not really sure if thats true but my Gauntlet power is a little over 10,900. I just finish the gauntlet today and I got 5 Captivator Shards. Yesterday I also won a full 2* Hero if that matters.

Keeping your deck power low is pointless. Eventually you're going to have to raise it. Besides, I've never run into a Gauntlet opponent whom I just could not beat, so not keeping my power low has worked just fine for me.

When you get to a level, yes, you can beat anyone. But when you're mid level (say below lvl 80), you may be without Dark Witches or Stabthrough decks (I know I was) and if the opponent doesn't have Sacrifice you stand no chance against some decks.
It's very easy to get a 11-12k power deck that's very bad, then you're stuck with great opponents without the means to beat them (also Sacrifice method is time consuming, sometimes you can spend 30 minutes on it)
From what I know only power level that counts is what you play in Gauntlet, and a good way to keep the power low is to use 8-9 card decks (it also reduces chance of creatures dying since recycles/revives cycle faster)

On my newest account I can rush through gaunlet by using nothing but a phantom liege Good for people like me that tend to do everything as fast as possible And to answer your question, only your 4 created decks will affect gaunlet power

Stand no chance? When you have 11-12k power then you will most certainly stand some chance (or at least have enough knowledge to know how to take down tougher opponents). Also remember that Gauntlet opponents are chosen on level as well as power. This prevents scrubs from being matched up against top players, at least until they reach high level.

I don't usually stab in gauntlet but when I do, all decks are stabable since opponent has no runes. With that said, no need to go out of your way to keep power low. Gauntlet isn't as hard as it used to be.

You having runes and your opponent having none definitely makes the Gauntlet pretty easy... I wonder if that was an actual design choice by IGG or if it's a bug.

Sacrifice: -Since your opponent doesn't have runes in Gauntlet, that means that Sacrifice will always kill off one of their crits. If you only have 1 creature and a 1 star hero, then that means that you should lose before the dead creature is able to be Recycled or Revived. Disposal/Instakill: -Same premise. Hopefully you can Dispose or Instakill an enemy crit and lose before it gets brought back. I use both of those strategies often. They work pretty well.

Honestly I just throw crits at it until I chip away at their crit pool. If its truly stubborn stab cleans them up.

Reading through the forum I got the impression that powering up too soon could pit you against opponents that would be impossible or at the very least time consuming to beat. If anyone active is also watching their level and would like to comment on whether or not Grimoire decks affect the cap please do.

I don't know for sure, maybe I'm wrong, but I think only what you use in Gauntlet matters (I read that some time ago here on the forum) I stayed under 10.7k power there, and I'm facing around 10k opponents. Otherwise I have decks with 12k+, even in grimoire I think I use some 11k+, yet the Gauntlet hasn't increased in difficulty.

What I know from experience: Things that affect Gauntlet - Power levels of four main decks Things that don't affect Gauntlet - Power level of Gauntlet decks Unknown - Tournament decks - Grimoire decks Another user (Akame) stated that the Tournament decks do not affect Gauntlet, but I have not verified this yet.

Guild Battle decks also don't affect Gauntlet power.
