Not sure, will find out tomorrow. Im guessing it is permanent. The next slot is 400 gems, and then probably 800 after that. I think 1 extra open is enough if smelting lvl 2 mat's, gives you 24hrs of queued stuff. Did you confirm if the extra slots are permanent? They are

What do you guys think about this? Which one will you choose? Unholy Rites – Grants a 30% chance to chance to destroy the lowest Cost Creature in your hand to duplicate the highest Cost Creature on your field. The duplicate will have 100% of the Creature's initial ATK and HP. Law – Grants a 50% chance to inflict Rip on 3 random enemy Creatures at the start of your turn. Creatures inflicted with Rip can't be healed with Magical Skills. Blitz – Grants a 30% chance to reduce the wait time of all Creatures in your Hand by #1. Salvage – Grants a 20% chance to return one Creature from your Graveyard to your Deck at the start of your turn. This effect can't be negated. Pacifist – Grants a 25% chance to prevent opponent Hero from gaining Rage on the next turn. Confine - Grants a 30% chance to increase the wait time of all Creatures in your opponent's hand by 2 turn(s). Backup - Grants a 30% chance to draw an additional card at the start of your turn. Impede - Grants a 30% chance to prevent your opponent from drawing a card on their turn. What I see in game, the skills is different from above. Does this mean above information not accurate?

Also of note, use only lvl 1 material to unlock upto level 5 items. Then you can start to use your good stuff To be effiecent though you could unlock lvl 4 items by making gold lvl 3 item as you will use this to make the lvl 4, and then repeat for lvl 5 item. Of interest, to instant build a lvl 5 gold item costs 36864 gold or 6144 hours I notice on equipment you can use previous equipment made of the same level or below when smiting the new equipment does this transfer previous skill/bonuses to the new equipment being made? If so wouldn't I want to make a lvl 2 orange item to craft another lvl 2 orange item to get a higher skill transfer on the new equipment?

No, but it increases the chance to craft a higher grade equipment. I have burned about 10k gems testing the system and I can say that you need to have all orangle materials and an orangle level 4 equipment to have a roughly ~50% chance to craft an orangle level 5 equipment. Without spending an insane amount of gems aiming for an orangle level 4 equipment is most realistic.

It's probably not impossible to understand, but it is incredibly undocumented by the people who created it. It will probably end up being better documented on this forum than anywhere else.

You have completely hit the nail on the head!! Why do IGG continue to release content to DH with no user guides??? It takes a non-official fan forum to do the work for them, and what a good job everyone does on here

Sparks are very rare. They increase the % of success in crafting. Each spark gives you an extra 1% in crafting. So if your current rate of success to craft an orange equipment is 70% and you use 30 sparks, thats 100% success rate. Stack them and use for the high level crafting. Ah right, i thought sparks were only to allow a chance at getting the bonus skills. One thing though, 1 spark on a lvl 5 item using gold/purple materials only gives 0.1% chance

In this SS the spark only gives a 0.1% chance of a bonus skill, does not look like it adds to overall quality of the item?

Yep, lower the lvl of item or quality of materials, the higher the percentage chance the spark gives.
So the question is, do we make white lvl 1 items to get the best chance of bonus skills?

For most players that are F2P or Semi-P2W, using a lot of gems on this system would not be the best choice. So maybe making Lv3 or Lv4 Blue Equipment and using Sparks to get the Bonus Skills would maximize the possiblility of getting one of those awesome skills.
I'd much rather have Unholy Rites on a Lv1 Blue Sword than have a Lv5 Gold Sword with no Bonus Skills. Besides is the increased critical rate all that good? Can anyone confirm what it actually does? Because we all know what Blitz and Pacifist do...

It's based on my own tests and Kaiba reported similar results. Unless you have ~15-20k gems to burn you might have difficulties getting a level 5 orange.

You might want to think twice about what you said. A level 5 gold sword will give up to 40% critical hit and has a chance of having other attributes such as bonus to HP or added % to other abilities. Critical is double damage. Giving your entire team a free battleblow is quite insane.

That is a very nice boost and would be awesome to have.... but what is more realistic for a F2P player:
- 6x Lv3 Blue equipment (up to 2.5% of Attribute + chance @ 2nd Attribute) AND have a few Bonus Skills
or - 1x Lv5 Gold equipment with no Bonus Skills (some estimates are 256 days to build)
I'm not saying that F2P should build Blue equipment and then stop Smelting mats... I'm just saying that it may be more realistic to build lesser equipment and aim for the Bonus Skills. If a piece of equipment gets a nice Bonus Skill, go for a different equipment path.
NOTE: whales who have the gems/money should freely ignore all of this advice and go straight for Lv5 Gold equipment with amazing Bonus Skills

Then, create just one lvl 1 gold item with sparks for the bonus skill. Thats the approach i will be taking, even having a full investment in Alice Bonds.

The most important thing for f2p players is to use the free lucky flip refresh every day. You do stand a chance at picking up a blue/purple/gold material with your free go. For info, i have got 2 gold materials on the 5 gem attempt. Gezz, i sound like Kaiba

Gonna take some time before someone is able to craft something with bonus skill though since it takes 1,000 sparks to get 100% success rate and sparks are hard to come by Maybe even more of a reason to use Sparks on Green equipment only; the Sparks are returned to you if you do not get a Bonus Skill.
Plus the 1,000 sparks only counts for the Purple and Gold equipment; you need 100 to get 100% on Green and Blue equipment (per ℜ★Kaiba)
I just don't see the time required to craft a single Lv5 Gold equipment as being efficient in making that a F2P initial goal. I still think it is better for F2P players to shoot for the Bonus Skills on lower level equipment first and then continue working on an end goal of getting Lv5 Gold equipment. Aiming for Lv5 Gold seems to be the same as looking to make a Lv7 Spirit Arbiter your only 5* Hero.... nice in theory but a long time between starting that journey and achieving it.

For info, i have got 2 gold materials on the 5 gem attempt. Gezz, i sound like Kaiba I agree!! And for players who have maximized AB, spending 5-15 gems refreshing it for additional flips/shuffles will be worth the cost. But are we then getting out of the realm of F2P? Newer players need to save their gems for AB and spending 500 per month is counter-productive at that stage
