I remember reading in the forums that Centaur Chief would prevent rip because FA activates first and then block will prevent damage, nullifying rip. I have FA 5 which caps damage at 160 and block which reduces damage by 175. Did the damage application order change? If so, what work against rip now?

Dunno if block and frost armor make crits immune to rip. I have soul swapped cave dragons down to 0 attack and have had crits get ripped status from said 0 attack cave dragon

Cleanse, Frost Armor+Block to null physical damage or I10. Sadly there's no other options. You can try FA5 Tauros Elder, he has BB7 and nulls physical damage so RIP will be totally useless againts him, also pair him with mythrill drone so magic won't do anything either.

Hmm at least for me fa+block not working vs rip anymore. Only henry, warlock or i10 left.

Yeah, fa/block was a stealth nerf a long while back. I usually find it works best to plant a fa/block in front of the rip crit anyway, and put a sweeping blow crit next to that so you are still damaging the rippist. Or use Warlock and just ignore rip altogether

Yea, if you have high Vit rune on Drone, high Human vigor on hero, and 4 Oracles boosting with sage advice, Drone might be the best poor mans option, as in it will stay alive the longest out of anything not i10. I've found that even i9 will get ripped by round 20 almost always

In my experience, a rip creature need not actually do DAMAGE to it's target, it only has to land a successful basic attack. Meaning, DODGE is a very temporary counter to rip, and IMMUNITY will protect your creature for a time, until immunity fails to proc. To follow up this statement, Horned Beast survives quite well against rip creatures. I have no experience with Warlock, but I have used Henrietta in GM specifically to counter rip. Unfortunately, Henrietta's stats are below toilet level...I feel that she needs a FA, I7+, or unbound meld to be effective in GM. On a positive note, she removes the Kitsune(Kumiho?) attack status effect, one creature at a time. I think she may also remove Killer Queen's effect too.

I've found that even i9 will get ripped by round 20 almost always Drone with 4 oracles boosting max hp and a vitality rune and human vigor rune should give at least 3k hp.. Which is 600hp restored each round.. If you can meld frost armour you are in business..

no need to meld FA even. for one, it would be way too many copies of drone, and there are much more important things to put in it than fa (like revive) but it should survive quite a few rounds even without it. Maybe even 40-50
