Hi all,
I recently got the Captivator, but not sure how to best utilize her hero skills. Need your advice & experiences, on:
1. What are the best talents for her? There were some old posts recommending GT and firestorm, not sure if they are still viable in current meta.
2 How to build a deck around her? She gains board control once in a while, how can I get the most out of it? Heavy hitter?
Thank you very much.

One of the very best cards to use with cap is Killer Queen. A whole board can get wiped in one round with this combo. Other than that I don't have much as I'm at 97 shards for her.

Only theory here, as I neither have Captivator nor Kitsune and Kumiho, but those two cards together should be quite effective with Captivator

With Cap you want KQ without question, but also a control deck based around DD. The idea is you want to slowly damage the whole deck at the same time, stack rage and get ready to wipe in one hit. Stoneskin, healing, bless, blaze, hellfire are all super important.
You actually want to keep your damage low until the hero triggers, since you don't want to be triggering their rage often. A solid cheap deck would look something like:
Revive/recycle x2 Nidhogg x2 I9 Oracle x2 KQ x1 Retreat QT x1 Flare Summoner x2 (or other DD source)
Then with fleshfeast and firestorm for talents works.

Thank you all very much. Too bad I don't have the foxy sisters. I have put the KQ in my main deck and will check how they get along. derpy✪NFS, thank you for your demo deck. So what is the rationale of "killing them slowly"? I mean, if I can kill some cards early on then my cards will take less damage. Without a Paragon (I am still a few weeks away from her) those rebirth/deathless/undying will just worn me out. Nevertheless I made an even cheaper (only 1 Flame Summoner) deck and will see how it survives.

That allows more to be hit by KQ and the final Cap trigger which should wipe the board if done correctly. You WANT to take more damage, and them to take less, so you build rage and they don't. Once the board is wiped you should have rage control with your QT and they have no way to turn the tides back in their favour. Even with rebirth and recycle, once you establish the board with a strong mix of FA, stoneskin, healing and rage control with the DD from FS as backup, it's basically impossible to wrench back.

You're better off making a sneak deck with Warlock IMO since he aids survival, plays well with stoneskin and HP buffs, and the FS will guarantee sneak props anyway. Warlock then guarantees sneak Anathema won't be locked down. Neander and Warlock play very well together, ironically.

My main hero is Captivator. You will want 2x Retreat QT and a lot of Immunity and Dodge in your deck. And also 1-2 mass damage creatures(Flare summoner, Ordnance, Blossoms)... And you're done. Talents... There're different combinations. I tried a lot of them, but what works best for me is Protection/Divine Shield/Group tactics.

End goal talents are ds and gt. Decent place holders are firestorm and fleshfeast.
As with any deck the current meta template stands. For f2p: 2x rec 2x ret qt 1x Paragon 2x sac hitters 3x other cards (dmg)
Higher teir: 2x revive (on direct dmg) 1x recycle (on direct dmg) 2x aqua 1x ret qt 1x torment 3x other cards (dmg)
The other cards section can easily facilitate killer queen for quick dmg.

Thanks again. I guess the take-away is "survive & control, let the hero wipe them all" BTW, ZanderX10, the template, are you talking about arena deck (just 1) or tourney decks (x3). I mean, 6 rec & 6 RQT that's a lot of grinding. I know the higher tier part in your template is pretty much what top 100s have, but not sure about the f2p part. Maybe IGG should list Top F2P, like you see in app stores.

Last deva I got I was sitting on a 90% and a 100%. That is arena and tourney. Your end goal for tourney is 3 arena decks. As for recycles. I have unsealed 4 thalassa. Maybe 15% into 5th. Ideally you end up pulling revives or rec 2 and can then distribute the love between all 3 decks.

Even with rebirth and recycle, once you establish the board with a strong mix of FA, stoneskin, healing and rage control with the DD from FS as backup, it's basically impossible to wrench back. It used to be like this, until the Flame Summoner becomes ubiquitous. In many of the practice fights I had today, gaining a board control sometime is the path to board massacre. When all my cards are on board, FS just jump in and burn them all. 500-1000 direct DMG before each turn is pretty deadly, I can't imagine any deck has such healing power. The worst part is that it happens before the turn so no rescue. I almost want to give my revive/recycle different runes so that they have more than 1000 HP differences... Not sure if it is a stupid idea, sounds like though. Not related to Captivator, just that she also can't avoid this problem. Wonder how you guys handle it.
