Best way to buy heroes?
I feel like everyone as better heroes than me, I've been trying to be patient and collect the shards from malls, but takes to long and you kinda level up to much and end up without any good heroes to back that up.
Does it pay to spend gems at the altar? Are the odds of getting something worth from the altar any good?
I tried the altar 3 times so far and all i got was 2* heroes, so it doesn't seem that good, and i'm sure i will not draw 50 times to actually get a good hero, thats why I wanted to know what you guys think is the best way, being patient or testing luck?

I honestly don't think you should try it the chance of getting a 4 star hero is very bad you'd have to spend tons of gems and its still not garunteed. However its not a bad place to find some 3 stars if you're looking for one

Unless you are willing to drop a few hundred bucks at the altar, you are going to have to grind it out. I was stuck for the longest time as I finished up wight and the grind was pretty bad. It is a sad part of games like this but once you get it completed its worth the wait! If you do luck out at the altar with a 4* hero, it might not work as well with your deck as the one you spend about two months farming. I'd advise keep on working on the hero you are and save the gems for faction boosters to increase how much of an impact that hero has on your deck once you get it.

2nd kinda related question, say i draw from the altar and get a 3* hero i already have. Keep it or trade it for shards?
The gauntlet makes it look like a good idea to keep it, but upgrading one is hard enough, and if u keep one at basic level its not gona help that much either.
2* i would just sell, no point in keeping more than 1, i barely use them as it is, but 3* is kinda tricky to decide.

I think you should just focus on the one unless your struggling in the gauntlet but make sure you've always got a good back up hero just in case your main one dies

Less than 2 months for my Royal Guard with shards, fast for a 4* (in my opinion)

Personally, one of the issues I am having is in the Gauntlet and that would be not having enough decent heroes to move very far once my single 3 & 4* heroes die. I've been debating about picking up a few of the other 3* heroes since I already have half the shards from Trial rewards already but I haven't caved yet. I'd say keep it since the small amount of shards you get in return vs. the Gauntlet benefit makes it worth having multiples. I 100% agree with you on 2*, I've been selling mine for glory points to up my 4* hero skills.

I am doing the come what may method atm but i guess its a bad idea. I keep on being versatile with my cards and the first 4 star or 3 star Hero ill have will have the benefit of making him more intresting hero.

In my experience, I've made few accounts. Played them until 3-8. Draw hero at first attempt. When 2* comes out, I drop that account. Proceed to next account, same procedure. When I got 3* at first attempt, I nourished that account. When I earned 2k+ gems, I tried to draw a hero at the altar. I got Bowmaster. I was not satisfied. I tried to draw again and got Patriach. Quite happy but still not satisfied. I draw again and got Gladiator. Then I wanted to draw again hoping for a duplicate and all I got were 4 2*, such a waste. And what's worst? Limited Booster pops up and I have 0 gem. Collecting shards is better. Always save your gem. And here's my other bad decision. On my other account, I got Bowmaster at first draw (wishing for Devil Hunter). Then got a Phantom Liege at first 5 coupon draw. I dropped that account because of frustration of not getting a 4* Hero at first draw. But I realized that account had a good start because of Phantom Liege, that means I can have 3 5* at early level with Thalassa and the guaranteed gem bag draw. Sadly I already forgot my password for that account. Stupid decision.

or you can do like i did , use time at beggining , save time later = find 4* and start play:) you can see how it goes in my hunter story section. than you can focus on colecting next 4* shards or develop 4* for high level and collect shard for second 4*. so all your time and energy goes already to 4* hero:)
our friend even did instruction how to get 2 heroes in 30 minutes:) if not 4* try again untill success
