Hello all, I'm looking at making a Curse deck mainly for the "Kill the Hero" dungeon map requirements. What I'm thinking is: Chaos Witch 3x Dark Witch 3x Frost Caller- will be melding Voodoo 8 from Dark Witch onto these 2x Spirit Siren 2x Thalassa (Other options are Ghostly Judge and Bloody Baron, but there is a thread going about how bad the Godswill is so I'm hesitant to include but will probably include until my Frost Caller's are fully melded so I'll get some more information on that topic soon) For melding options for Dark Witch, with the recent restrictions of melding the same talent of a different rank no longer available I was thinking either: Stabthrough 6 (90% of damage to enemy hero) Tomb Traps 4 (200 damage +.8% max hero hp) If I'm missing a farmable option please feel free to include them (If I had a Dahlia/Gorgon I'd for sure use them, if only!) What are your thoughts?

I would go unholy pact 5 on the Frost Callers (Blightghast) and Death March 5 (Bloody Baron) on the Dark Witches.

The computer always seems to find a way around stabthrough IMO. Well I get those results when I try using my Ursa major in my KTH deck... Stuuu's idea of extra buffing is a good one. Id also look into maybe a fatigue meld. Help your callers fatigue your enemy quicker and watch curse run away with the win...

My other thought was possibly Typhoon 3 from the Unseen (60 damage & 30% chance to skip to all creatures when played). This is the only "Skip their next action" ability that can be melded onto a lvl 3 that affects more than 1 creature. I could time when each card is played to maximize this. This might somewhat create a lockdown deck that also kills the hero? All creatures will have some kind of lock down, aside from Thalassa.
My original idea of the Tomb Trap was that with 2 recycles I'd make the most of having them played and destroyed multiple times, but with the 4 turn wait that might be to slow and end up getting my hero killed instead.

Yeah I like that idea, def could work. As you would know, locking down or slowing down the AI helps a bucket load.

I have experimented with running curse decks and my experience is that they are awful. The two good curse cards I have are Gorgon and Spirit Siren and they are awesome creatures. Many times I have won by killing the hero because of those two cards, however, they are good cards period and they are only killing heroes with low hp. The curse ability doesn't make or break their effectiveness. I am further along in the game now so I'm usually looking at 15-20k hp on the hero rather than 10-15k. That also makes a big difference.
Has anyone had success with curse decks on map 9 or higher?

Because every card has to be cursed focused to maximise the deck, unfortunately with no tanks in the deck it makes 9+ pretty hard. Up to 9 is effective. Its like some major melding has to happen for it to be a sustained success...

You can meld Stabthrough on a 3* although I think I would lean towards HP buff Oh that's right! You're also right, discord doesn't work well with freeze... How ever, at least no matter what, they're not attacking your creatures who are still using curse etc. So while a frozen enemy critter affected with discord is frustrating, at least your critters aren't taking dam.. This is where healers come in handy... Or melding healing or tank properties to a cursing critter. I think having both gives you a good shot at locking down some enemy creatures, if discord comes off and causes extra damage, then that's a bonus IMO...

Here is the Curse Deck im using at the moment: Chaos Witch (Grief 3/Mortii Life 8/Undying 8) 5* Revenant 4* Bloody Lord 4* Bloody Lord 4* Ghostly Judge 4* Harbinger (lvl 15, Recylce 1 melded) 4* Eye of Jonara 4* Eye of Jonara 3* Frost Caller (lvl 15, Unholy Pact 7 melded) 3* Frost Caller (lvl 15, Unholy Pact 7 melded) 3* Frost Caller It works pretty well for me right now. I'll get my Writght soon and change his Talents to Mortii Life, Undying and Shadow Hex. Im working on melding Frost Armor on my Eye's but it will take me a few weeks If im lucky enought to draw a useful 5* like Gorgon, Spirit Siren or another Revenant I will replace my Frost Callers since they dont synergize that well with Eye of Jonara.
