As we all know, deck building is mostly based around which cards you currently posses or might get in a reasonable time frame. I had quite a lot of luck (not intending to brag) as a free to play player over my 2 months of playing and are now trying to use what i have to build some solid decks. I have progressed to 9-10, but hit a bit of a wall here, mainly trying to overcome the massive ATK power reduction and healing capacity of the computer deck at 9-10. Here are my current cards of decent value:
Heroes: Devil Hunter, Poison Ivy, Gladiator, Tauro Brute
5-star:
Undying Will (coupon draw)
Thalassa (seal)
Nidhogg (coupon draw)
Spider Queen x 2 (seals)
Yggdryad (starting draw at alter)
Hanuman (coupon draw)
Ash Beast (coupon draw)
Moon Guardian (seal)
Balthazar (coupon draw)
4-star (not listing all)
3 x Hell Knight
4 x Pit Lord
Neander Raptor (I so wished it had sweeping blow for 9-10)
Cyclops (login)
2 x Ursa Major
Horned Beast (will meld with frost armor I think)
2 x Griffi Knight
Techo Chief
Swordsmaster
3x Royal Knight
Paladin
3-star (only listing candidates for meld)
2x Frost Rager (melded with block)
3 x Faen Marksman (wanted to meld with picking off, but that doesn't work)
4 x Border Ranger (intend to meld with weakness).
So I'm thinking of basicly two different paths, any comments on their likelyhood of success are welcome. The objective if of course to beat 9-10, but mainly to get a solid deck.
Version 1: Massive Sweeping Blow with debuffs and Gladiator with linked damage:
Tanks: Frost Rager (block), Ursa Major (Immunity), Horned Beast (frost armor)
Damage/Debuff: Graboid (if I pass 9-10 sometime) melded with weakness or battle blow, border ranger meleded with weakness, Flame Brave (linked damage through Gladiator), Thalassa (recycle), Ash Beast (more sweeping blow!), Undying Will (kinda hard to let go, flaming damage with linked damage) and finally flame mage (meld with dodge).
The whole purpose is trying to line up graboid with border ranger to massivly reduce atk power, while causing damage through the Gladiator linked dam skill. Also making sure Gladiator has Battle Set as a talent. This should be pretty powerful in any setting (guild also, but might wanna replace some cards with Hero heal ability).
Version 2: I'll keep it short. Demon Hunter (ATK buff, Five On It and Death Cloud) to neglect physical damage along with many magic immune creatures and creatures causing direct targeted damage.
2 x Horned Beast with Picking Off
1 Frost Rager with Block
1 Ursa Major with Immunity
1 Colossus with Frost Armor
2 Spider Queen
1 Faen Marksman (don't know what to meld, right now it has retaliiate)
1 Ash Beast
1 Thalassa.
Anyways, comments or suggestions how to pass 9-10 with the cards I have would be great.
