So these are my creatures. I started playing for around a week or two. These are my creatures:
Gorgon lv8 Anathema lv5 Thalassa lv10 Dahlia lv10 Flame Brave lv10 Centaur Chief lv5 Treant Elder lv10 Royal Knight lv5 Neander Giant lv5 Swordsmaster lv5 Faen Mesmerizer lv10 Ursa Major lv5 Howling King lv5 Light Brave lv0
At first I thought Devil Hunter was the best to buy but now I've gotten much more Mortii creatures. So, which 4* hero should I be spending my tokens and stuff on getting?

I always thought Deathmort was better than Wight? Is it because Deathmort is bad (idk if summoning is useful) or is Wight just a lot better?

I think Deathmort is good at complete the dungeons and Wight is for wars with people but sometime it also good for pass the dungeons. Each hero has a particular strength. Good luck !

Deathmort, in my opinion, is the worst 4* hero by some margin. Possibly comparable to Royal Guard, but even he has far more utility. The puppet summoned has a cap of 1, like the dragon and grizzly- but look what it offers. The atk increase is ok, but by the time it makes a difference- it's usually dead, because it has zero defence. Compare it to the dragon, which decimates entire teams with fire, self-buffs attack far more efficiently than the puppet, and if you ever get it to lv 10- becomes almost unkillable with a good setup. The grizzly is a ridiculous tank for your hero, once it's up it can keep your hero alive indefinitely, whilst destroying the enemy rage. These are truly useful abilities. The boars from Berserker tank brilliantly as well, because as fast as you kill them- new ones pop up. If you don't kill them fast enough, you'll get overrun by attack buffing boars- see 8-11 for an example of how effective it can be. And that's with manual control against a deck that isn't even that great.
Devil Hunter has a lot of utility, Paw Master isn't great either but his ability can be useful at times, especially if you have a sac Graboid on the field. Wight is just infinitely better than Deathmort in every single capacity I can think of.

I fought the dragon in Trials and assumed every summoner was comparable to that, looks like I was horribly wrong. How would you compare Wight to the other heroes btw?

Deathmort ain't that bad in my books. He's still a Mortii. He's still a Fourstar.
A Deathmort with high levels of Undying and Cripple will still hold its own.
But if you were to choose which Mortii to start out with, Wight definitely is your only choice.
Curse is like a guaranteed Death Sentence.

I fought the dragon in Trials and assumed every summoner was comparable to that, looks like I was horribly wrong. How would you compare Wight to the other heroes btw? Wight is easily the most versatile and useful hero overall. If you can get a REALLY high lv Dragon Rider/Berserker, they are comparable or better- but you need to be getting them to a minimum of lv 5 before they become good, and 8+ before they become great. Predator and Devil Hunter might join that list, but a step below. The other 3 heros are decent- they are 4*, after all, but they never compare to those guys (just my opinion). And yeah, of course Deathmort is ok based on being Mortii, but I would say you only need to compare the heros in their own factions. Royal Guard is inferior to Dragon Rider, but at least it's better at lv 1, and can have a use. Devil Hunter and Predator are fairly evenly matched. Berserker is better than Paw Master, but again- at lv 1, Paw Master is probably better, and there are times where his elixir is useful. I can't think of a single situation where I would run Deathmort over Wight, regardless of their levels.

Dragon Rider or Berserker. I mean, yeah, Wight is nice and all but with the new rune system Summoner heroes just got boosted like crazy. With Furor V at lvl 10, your hero actually starts with max rage, turning you into a lvl 45 Trial Hero wannabe. Throw in Haste V lvl 10 and even if they do kill your summons, their creatures take way longer to get played.
