I'm currently a level 77 ftp player and am in a guild of 2 active members level 78, 64 with their 2 alts, 50 & 33. At the start of a stage I can do 20-40k damage, and 200k+ after it's been cleared out a bit. We just finished the first map and started on the 2nd one.
My main heroes include
Hydra 4
Berzerker 6
Dragon Rider 7
Wight 6
Devil Hunter 5
Predator 4
My best cards include
2 FA oracles
Taurus
1.85 HB rec 1
Nidhogg
Anathema
.98 stab 6 grabboid
2 drones
magmus
3 undying will
2 spirit siren
gorgon
2 dullahan
2 thalassas
stab 6 border ranger
unsealed 5* soon through death's angel after a about 10-15 shards
I've got enough cards to meld something on swordmaster(lifesap or bloodlust?), light brave (instakill?), blood warlock (dodge or earth totem?), centaur chief (probably FA). I can reach the high 7000s in tournament but can only stay ranked for usually less than 8 hours. I have an arena rank of about 150-200. I've been holding my deck power to about 8400 so I can get through the gauntlet quickly. I can do about 20k-40k delivery in guild war.
My first question is whether I should try to find a better guild or stick with the one I have. I've been reading about top 30 guilds that suck the unsuspecting starry-eyed recruits for their energy, casting them from the guild once their usefulness has waned and the good shard have peppered their coffers. I've also read about a few brave souls who have tried to forge their lonely way through the treacherous guild maps for the hope of one day, before heat death of the universe, embracing the fabled I9 paragon card into their own decks (in triplicate). I can see pros and cons either way. The biggest drawback to being in a small guild seems to be missing out on the gem rewards that can be earned from guild wars. Does the shard drop rate increase with the number of people in the guild? What should I look for in applying to a good guild? Should I stay in my current guild until I reach 80-85?
My second question is about which melds are the most important. I'm going full bore on farming HB and oracle shards. The next most important melds seem to be sac8 grabboid, twins, anathema, and pit dragon. After I'm not sure what the priority should be. BB8 panther chief or FA panther chief? FA cards for guild map or PVP cards for tournament? Since I'm ftp it seems like it will be many months before I get my hands on a rec 2/revive combo, should I farm another 2 thalassas to meld or focus my energy elsewhere?
My third question has to do with what 5* hero I should focus on. I've got 32 Oceanus shards from the gauntlet and about half as many for Overlord, Armageddon, Captivator, and Blademaster. I've got about 10k ore but I've put mining on hold so I can farm creature shards. I've also read that of the easily farmable heroes, Vile Songstress rules the current meta. Should I use ore to purchase Vile Songstress or spend them on Armageddon or Oceanus?
