Yes the above question is my question.
How come some of the games copy each other and sometimes even their functional events? Isn't there a copyright law against this?
Lets talk.

First I think there is a law but the politics or people are not willed to act when it is over the internet.
Also many of these companies are listed in china, hongkong, singapour other asian 2. world countries. they didnt developed a deep law system like thhe west also if they have, they infoece them less strictly. especially if there is money involved. china is a good example. they learn from school a behavior that dont benefit new ideas and individualism. also they dont see copying as stealing but as a buisness idea. but you can say the gov. start going after this trend more and more and so the people, cause they start to see how it hurts chinas rep. in and out of the world.
I can imagine it is also a catch a rabbit game. since opening a business is rather easy. a new company opens, earn a few tousand bucks, get closed for few copyright infridgement and then just reopens.
i mean the gov cant even stop the flow of copied goods and in mainland china, you cant nearl buy a car that is not a vopy from a western brand.
anyway. example for the lash law enforcement. in the border of hongkong to china. there is a huge mall. lot of shields are there, that say. selling and participating in trade of copied goods is forbiden and get you in jail and still 90% of that mall lifes of copied good shops. they openly invite and shout about their good copied rolex qualities and the police wont give a fuk.
another thimg can be that china does not have google. so i imagine they have their own system or platform where they sell games. so even if removed from google, they can still sell it there. and since even google is lazy, imagine that platform.
that it must be a neverending cicle shows heartstone from blizzard. normally they go rly harsh against companies that copy their stuff and won many cases. and yet there are a lot of copies where the card board and card design is a 100% copy. so maybe these companies start to resignate and think.. well they may take away 20% of income but will still make a Iot of money.
btw. i always thought they changed name and appearance of. paw master from a panda to now that drunken lad, cause it resembled too much of blizzards brewmaster. other copies are in dh the demon hunter even the name and old style of predator looked like male druid from warcraft.
btw. whats up with this censoring all over the place. srsly. cant even write fck. comeon. are we in sjw land now. fck political correctness, it is cancer. also i bet most players here arw adults. its not like we must protect it for teh sakr of children....

There are stuff that are copyrightable, and stuff that are not copyrightable. Plus, as a business, you don't go after everybody that has copied your copyrightable stuff unless it makes business sense, and it often doesn't make business sense.

As long as you're not using stolen art assets or code, most mobile games will not sue other companies for copying their games. For one thing, you can't really trademark (not copyright) ideas such as "A tournament called grandmaster cup where players are pitted against each other in 1 v 1 matches" or somesuch.

It's not about what category it falls into, it's about what you're tring to trademark or copyright. In order to break copyright, you have actually use stolen assets (codes, art, etc.). If you're copying concepts, your crime would be trademark infringement and not copyright infringement.

Oh, I almost forgot: Copyright is automatic, trademark needs to be sought out and applied for.
