While looking at some creatures for deck ideas i came along a ranking issue i would like to share.
Also would like to know if u guys have other creatures that you would also rank different.
Here's the thing:
For me there are creatures in this game that are ranked high above their utility and others that are ranked below it.
The examples i found so far:
Over ranked: Terror Dragon, Pit Dragon, Bloodletter: all this are ranked as 5*, i consider them on par with a good 4* but not worth a 5* rank, for me a 5* his a card that can change a deck on their own, theese can hardly do that, are they usefull? yes, are they good? also yes, but if you think about it, they're just not that good and very situational and can easily be replaced with a 4* without missing much
Howling King: Howling King is just plain awfull, i find it hard to rank it even as a good 3*, let alone a 4*.
Icy Mage: shes usefull, but if u compare her against other 4* or even some 3* out there, shes really bellow par
Under Ranked: Swormaster: This card could easily be a 5*, it's just awesome and i believe a lot of people would trade some of the 5* on their decks for a swormaster in quite a lot of situations.
Flame Mage: this is probably the most wrongly ranked creature in the game, this guy is really good for a 3*, why icy mage is considered a 4* and this one is a 3* instead is really confusing for me, it would make more sense the other way arround,

I strongly, strongly disagree with Terror Dragon being over ranked, it's not a card to look down on, extremely well qualified for the 5* ranking it has

Howling king is meh, but put him on a Neander deck vs a Human or Heavy Magic Faen deck and he can be useful.
IMO Pit Priest is the WORST 4* critter in the game, she may be tanky but that's all. I have 7 copies of her on my sec account I I will rage meld her (any suggestions?) to see if I can make her playable.
Eye Of Jonara is another 4* that could be 5* that card is simply OP.
I don't agree with you about Flame Mage's rank, I would say he is balanced and may be like the 3rd or 4th best 3* (Manticore>Border Ranger>Frost Ranger/Flame Mage).

I'm flying the bloodletter flag!! Yeah its not the best 5☆ but shes worthy imo. I'm biased because I've had the card from near the start but I like it and terror dragon is def a good 5☆ critter.
Moon guardian is a good 4☆ card. As for mammoth rider with block 2 for a freakin 4☆ that's just laughable hahaha
I agree with swordmaster. Awesome, versatile card in many forms of the game.

Completely agree with Pit Priest. Bloodletter is situational but she was my first 5*, stoneskin is underrated and no other card has stolen more games for me 1v4 at the end. If nothing else she is usually a stoneskin/instakill late game. Blood Warlock is underrated. Same damage as Flame Mage with a bless and mass heal on the side. Also, a lot of 4* cards become a lot more powerful by virtue of being 4*. They wouldn't be nearly as powerful as 5*s if they were rare and super hard to meld. Eye of Jonara is a great example of a 4* that is OP because of it's availability.

Bloodletter is barely a 5* with her stats. You compare her with similar creature and wonder why her Life Sap isn't 8 or something. Stoneskin is her saving gracing. If you wanna defend Bloodletter, Moon Guardian is up there too. Same situational usefulness. The problem with both cards is compared to other stonekin 5* they pale in comparison and compared to some 4*, or they are better or not too far off. Royal Dragon is pretty comparable to both. Graboid is a pseudo-5*. They don't feel unique enough. Terror Dragon is a bit terrible, but it's easier to trigger its skill without any setup. Still those 3 are barely 5* IMO, but still 5*.
Mammoth Rider is only 4* because of its stats. The skill set is laughable and timer is the nail in the coffin. Even if it was a 2 timer, it would be bad. Cleric is pretty bad too for what should have been a premier healer card considering its name. I guess what lot of bad 4* have in common is Reflect bundled together with other non-fitting skills. Icy Mage skill set is fine for 4*, but her stats are really atrocious.
Swordmaster is very useful, but stats wise it feels like a 4* alright. It's like Frost Rager. It's very useful, but not that eye-popping. The 2 timer is killer thou. I think lot of useful 3* and 4* are just right and that's how the game should be balanced. Make 5* unique and lower star core cards.

Pale Dragon, Faen Rampager and Satyr Sentry are all terrible 4*s.
Frost Rager has to be the most used card in the game, both as a creature and as Meld food for Frost Armor.
Anathema is also overrated as a 5*, Stoneskin is wasted with Bullseye and Gas Cloud.

Haha "mortii are way overpowered" then everyone bags bloodletter when they back the stats off a bit.. Agreed she's def situational but awesome for guild maps.. Paired with a level 3 zora and her Att sky rockets. Critters with frost armor don't jump this quick because they only take limited damage due to FA. But bloodletter doesn't have that limitation and with Lifesap, unless you one hit kill her she just thrives and grows. Round 37 already has over 3k Att. You have to be smart with her placement but she's an ok card guys

Not many people talk about alert guard. What a card for 3☆s. Never really noticed how good it is, probably because I never use neander. Block 5- not bad Battleblow 8- pretty nice Stoneskin- nice 3rd skill Bit of defense, good att buff and everybody loves stoneskin. Not to mention the 2 turn play counter.
IMO it's best use though, is using it for melding skills on to other cards. Always keep your alert guards!

I would keep many Alert Guards, because of his skills and for a meld.
Overrated: Moon Guardian; no comments are required.
Underrated: Swordmaster; no comments are required. Cyclops; Sweeping Blow and Instakill! (my cyclops at Lv 15 has Venom Edge 1 as a 4th skill ) Dullahan; Stoneskin, Battleblow and Rebirth!
Also Royal Dragon and Techno Chief are also nice.

Is there a better creature in the game for tanking retreats in guild map than Bloodletter? Unmelded, probably not. Immunity 9 Melded provides a bunch of options.

Immunity 9 can tank a retreat for 10 turns before screwing up your order. Stoneskin can tank for 100. That's a pretty big difference.

Is there a better creature in the game for tanking retreats in guild map than Bloodletter? To answer your question directly, I would say Graboid. Against Archdeva, it's pure damage.

Yea, Graboid was the only one I was thinking that might be in guild maps. Both have their uses though. Bloodletter is safer but Graboid could add 50-100k damage.
