Hi all, I have recently obtained both another Revenant and another Archdeva. Since I already own 2 Retreat Queen Temptresses, I don't really see the point of creating yet another and I am left wondering what other options there are for this skill. Things I have in mind are: - Retreat Taurus (minimizing the damage it takes and thereby optimizing it's damage output long term for Omega Impact and of course reducing the number of creatures over whom the damage is distributed) - Pretty much any creature with the damage bonus to generals (forget the skill's name, somthing hunter I think) but to be honest not that useful outside a hero killer deck - I saw Alice being mentioned on an idea page but I personally don't really see the point of that - Colossus perhaps, increasing it's own damage, self healing and immunity supported by Retreat might be worth looking into as a hero killer But, besides Retreat Taurus, nothing really appeals to me. Do you guys have any ideas? If you do, please explain them Thnx in advance, War

Retreat Taurus is not so decent. If you have enough copies, please go for sac/immu Taurus.
And if you are going to get high ranking in tournament, 2 RQT is not enough. Unless you have lots of Aquarius.

One day, you'll want to start ranking up in Tournament. And for that you need 6 or so retreat!Queen Temptresses.

If you want to get outside the box go for a retreat Angel Prime. It will likely be a total crap card a lot of the time, but could sometimes destroy a mortii hero in short order. Its a better idea than retreat Taurus

Mid level doesn't have as much immunity everywhere so it would still be potentially useful. Honestly can't imagine anyone using a retreat AP in a tourney deck anyway. It could be ok in a Taskmistress deck I suppose

I agree with yuna. At least 6 qt with retreat. I have ten and am still making more, mostly for gw. Taurus would be a bad option. If you can meld taurus you would be better off using immunity or sacrifice. Before qt, some other good options were nidhogg and horned beast. Also, the skill hero hunter doesn't naturally occur on any cards. If you really want to try something weird, go for sagitarius.

retreat!Taurus is not an option. OP seems to think that if you retreat something, nothing will take its place. No, if you retreat a creature, the enemy's line-up will shift over. So unless your Taurus is far to the right, retreating a creature will not protect it.

that is where I usually place taurus and sure, at some point it will come to the front of the row but it will be slowed down a bit, more a delaying the inevitable idea than anything else and yes, I feel fine with calling that protecting it
But that being said, basically what you guys are saying is: there are no real other options to meld Retreat on?

You are probably better off melding either archdeva or revenant than making anything but RQTs. There are decent melds for both cards. Nothing especially great, but a fa revenant isn't bad. Maybe you get a lucky 4th on one of them too.

But then we're back to the original problem: She'd only be useful in early maps, early Trials and Gauntlet because Maps 13-15 and late Trials are teeming with Immunity (naturally or melded), Guild Map and Grimoire creatures are immune to Retreat and all other modes are automatic. What I'm saying is: There are plenty of options to meld Retreat on. Melding Retreat onto Taurus, however, is a terrible option.

Sweeping blow is NOT tied to retreat you guys.
Separate skill.
Now for one of the best retreat options, I think chrono.
Being a blue magic stasis deck user in magic the Gathering, we have all the tools to make an invincible deck now.
Five chronos, some retreat, some immunuty/revuve. 2 RQT, 2 Hanzo runed, and one consecrate Michael to kill Octavius. Paired with a mistress at lv8+ (4 clone, 4 retreat) with BLITZ, MUDDLE, and CONFINE.
Your opponent cannot play a card for the rest of the match once you setup.
