Hi guys I have a question, I wonder what better hero for the vile or the spirit? I'm with ore to buy at least 1 and would like to know which hero is better and more effective. Whether in campaigns, tournaments, arenas, events, guild battle anyway

Vile is good even at level 1.
Spririt arbiter pawns at mid-high levels.

There's no protection against Vile (besides just draining her Rage). There's ample types of protection against Spirit.

Spirit arbiter lvl 5+ can add power to a free to play deck that no other f2p hero can without being blocked by lucidity.
Vile does neuter enemy decks but doesn't add the direct dmg needed to compete when you don't have direct damage creatures.
Both are strong heroes. Imo sa is better for arena while vs is not far behind. Both are end game tourney heroes. Biggest reasoning for that is because if your arena is full of vs then sa can still kill enemy cards while yours are locked out. Vs will just lock them out as well until you have a pissing match to see whose 4 remaining cards can beat the opposition or who's hero dies first.

Even Warded creatures can get Requiem'd. Vile Songstress is one of the few heroes that can give Druidess a hard time. * Overpower does not protect against Vile Songstress because her Hero Skill will still go off. Overpower also only guarantees 1 creature (per Overpower) the ability to use their first 3 skills. * Alice does not protect against Requiem. It does cleanse it, but it's a one-time thing (unless Alice gets cloned or Revived/Recycled after death). * I don't understand how the Hell Angel Prime is supposed to be any kind of counter to Vile Songstress. Vile Songstress is Neander, not Mortii.
Meanwhile, almost every single thing you mentioned destroy Spirit Arbiter. Alice drains Spirit Arbiter's rage entirely, Angel Prime will deal 20% of Spirit Arbiter's HP if he hits her and Druidess' Storm Ward will protect against her Hero Skill should she ever get to use it. Overpower is as powerful against Spirit Abirter as it is against Vile Songstress so it's a wash.

The Warlock vs. Vile thing is so come and go I forgot he clears Requiem now. Or was it that he only protects against Requiem on the turn right after he casts his Hero Skill? If so, it's not so much a counter but a powerful weapon.

If so, it's not so much a counter but a powerful weapon. Warlock cleanses Requiem, but never prevents it. Stupid imo, but they want VS to be better. Also, with even a little leveling, the damage it causes to remove Requiem is pretty devastating. Far more often the crit dies from the removal. SA is better at high levels I think, but VS is overall better because its sooooo much easier to get her to a very good level 4 than SA to 7 or 8.

Warlock is pretty decent counter to VS,simply because hes Prayer first recover % of HP to all cards THEN Requiem deal damage so with Warlock lvl 7 or above it can handle VS.Of course deck itself have big influence in all that but from all those heroes Warlock is most f2p friendly and can help with dealing with VS.Tricky part is if Prayer comes late after Requiem is casted then it may happen that some of cards still cant survive damage, but lets say overal impression is that Warlock can be used to try to counter VS.

If Requiem damage is not sufficient to kill the creature, then heal procs first then damage. However, if the damage is enough to kill it, it will just die before being healed. Hope I'm not wrong

The meta has moved past basic attacks. That's nothing.

I already provided a post explaining my reasoning. If you do not have op cards, vile only offers a little help. Idk about everyone else's arena but mine is over un by vs. Matching fairly equal decks with both using Vile is a pissing contest. Spirit arbiter however offers more dmg to decks that either do not have direct dmg at all or more power against vile that can't be locked out by requiem.
Yuna, you play a different game from about 95% of the rest of the community. They don't have the best cards with the best melds. Alot do not have direct dmg at all. I am simply trying to give insight based on what the average player can gain from either hero. I do not contest that vile is better than sa in top gameplay but for all of those who are leagues below you, it's a different story. Its a different game.

You keep being very unclear and then getting all mad when I don't interpret your post the exact way you want people to interpret it as if it were my fault your post was ambiguous. You mentioned Overpower, which in no way counters Spirit Arbiter, but does, in a way, circumvent Requiem, which is why I assumed you were talking about Vile Songstress and not Spirit Arbiter, seeing as how Overpower affects Spirit Arbiter the exact same way it affects almost every other hero. There are many things that counter Spirit Arbiter, many more than counter most other heroes. Many more than Vile, which is what's important here. Druidess completely counters Spirit Arbiter because Warded Creatures are basically immune to Spirit Arbiter's Hero Skill, while many other heroes still have Hero Skills that work perfectly well against Warded Creatures. Druidess has no way to protect against Requiem. Even Warded, a creature will die if it's below Butcher's target percent after Butcher hits. Odin just completely ignores Storm Ward. Alice counters Spirit Arbiter because it removes all of her Rage and retreats all Mortii creatures on top of it. Depending on what Hero Talents you use, that can be devastating. Spirit Arbiter has an unusually large number of counters or just annoying things to have to face. Much more than Vile Songstress, whose only soft counters are Alice, Octavius and Warlock.

Vile is better than Spirit Arbiter even in mid levels. Because when comparing heroes, you assume they both manage to fire off their Hero Skills (otherwise, Heroes are basically meaningless). And if they both manage to fire off their hero skills, Vile Songstress is much better than Spirit Arbiter. Unless you're facing Warlock, the opponent has Alice or Octavius, you will lock away up to 4 of their creatures. They will not die easily, but living creatures cannot be revived/recycled, so they're locked away until they die. Spirit Arbiter, even if she manages to fire off her Hero Skill, still relies on a dice roll. First of all, she inflicts a maximum of 5000 damage, even at level 10. If the opponent has more than that, they don't die. This is extremely rare, but Sacrifice will put most creatures above 5000 HP. Even if she does hit a creature that isn't Storm Warded, she'll have to roll a die, at best a 70% chance (at lvl 9). That gives a 30% chance of not removing the creature from play, allowing them to remain to be Recycled or Removed. And this is only at level 9. There are simply so many ways in which Vile Songstress is far superior to Spirit Arbiter at any level of play.

There are simply so many ways in which Vile Songstress is far superior to Spirit Arbiter at any level of play. the most effective meta is direct dmg. The point I was trying to impress is that spirit arbiters ability to (generally) completely destroy multiple creatures as well as possibly remove the from play is much stronger for most players who don't have direct damage creatures to reliably keep board control. Those same players don't regularly fight alice. (There's maybe only 1 in my arena in top 10) the same goes for druidess. (Only 2) The majority have vile songstress and often with lucidity. This limits what f2p heroes you can fight them with drastically. Now given the choice between vile and sa, sa adds more raw power with her direct dmg and remove from play. While vile does offer some stall and disruption and a bit of direct dmg herself. So take a fairly strong f2p deck with only f2p direct dmg. 2x rec hb 2x ret qt Para Sac ana Sac twins Flame summoner I9 micheal Frost armor anathema They would have a very hard time fighting decks with steadier direct dmg. Now, vile could help alot by disabling some of their opponents hitters. But the opponent has vile as well. Now they are fighting a superior deck (albeit superseded by requiem) with their own lesser disabled deck. Same match up but with sa as the hero. The enemy can maintain its steady direct dmg and you can get disabled. But now you have sa to completely kill and remove multiple cards from play which has now disabled (permanently) the opponents deck minus the chance for it to be wiped. Again, I did not try to say spirit arbiter is superior to vile but given how rampant vile is as well as the varying circumstances of any given players deck, sa can provide more power where it is lacking. The ability to instantly destroy problem cards can prove to be invaluable when you don't have the ability via creatures. Vile works wonders when you have strong direct dmg hitters who can gain heavy board control in a single turn. She however is a bit too slow at times when you are still relying on basic attack dmg. While she can help manage opposition that is of a higher caliber, she doesn't help in clearing them from the field. I agree that in matches with really strong decks, it's safer to have a card disabled and on the field rather than in the opponents graveyard but for average players it isn't quite enough.

I agree that in matches with really strong decks, it's safer to have a card disabled and on the field rather than in the opponents graveyard but for average players it isn't quite enough. You talk as if it's super-easy to get Spirit Arbiter to such a level she targets more than 1 creature. She starts targeting 2 creatures at level 5. That's a total of 200 shards needed, or 150000 ore. Spirit Arbiter is not available through Tournament Mall and Momoya Mall is basically 100% P2W since you get such measly returns on F2P ticket farming. So you need to get 150000 ore. It's going to take you months and months to make that happen. Vile Songstress starts off by targeting 2 creatures right out of the box. She likewise does not appear in Tournament Mall, but does appear in Momoya Mall. At level 4 (which will cost you a total of 140 shards, or 105000 ore, 45500 less than a level 5 Spirit Arbiter), she starts targeting 3 creatures. Spirit Arbiter only targets 3 creatures at level 10 (which costs a total of 1215 shards of 911250 ore). Vile has nothing to do with Basic Attack vs. Direct Damage. Her shtick is to just fire off her Hero Skill. That's her thing. That's all heroes' thing. Why are you constantly treating Spirit Arbiter as if she'll always get to fire off her Hero Skill while Vile Songstress will never or seldom get to do the same when it is Spirit Arbiter who has a harder time firing off her Hero Skill due to Alice?

Why are you constantly treating Spirit Arbiter as if she'll always get to fire off her Hero Skill while Vile Songstress will never or seldom get to do the same when it is Spirit Arbiter who has a harder time firing off her Hero Skill due to Alice? if you don't get it you don't get it. I've said like 3x that alice really isn't a problem in most fights. Match flow is generally dependent on how fast you can clear enemy creatures and maintain a heavier board presence. Direct dmg clears them the fastest and allows you to set up with qt. Locking out 3 creatures doesn't get then off of the feild. It is strong disruption but without making room for qt to attack the enemy hero you will have a hard time keeping them at bay. Completely destroying them in an instant does. And while vile targets 3 enemies at once at lvl 4, sa does decent dmg to 2 targets at lvl 5. Not alot of difference. In my posts I am speaking for f2p players. They do not have access to mamoya points. You are arguing from the standpoint of a spender who only fights other spenders. You don't understand why a player would need to use a hero just for power I guess. You could beat that deck I posted before with a 4 card raid deck. It's not the same game.

To the original poster, my advice is go ahead and get vile, get her to lvl 4 and stop. She is going to be a permanent fixture in tourney. When you decide that vile wasn't enough to help you fight bigger players in your arena then start saving ore and go for sa. Shoot for lvl 7.

So far my Warlock Level 4 does not do well against VS. All Requimed creatures he heals die right away. Does this get better at higher Warlock levels?

As the original poster has stated they are f2p, they don't need to worry about a lot of what's been said in here cause it will likely never apply. Bottom line, it takes significantly less ore to get VS to a very good level than it does for SA. I would go VS for this reason alone as they are both really good heroes.

Warlock's level only matters if the damage through requiem is not enough to kill the creature just before getting healed. Otherwise they will just die no matter what level is your Warlock. For example (random numbers to follow): - You have a creature under requiem which has 1000 HP left. Your warlock would heal him for 2000 HP and requiem damage would hit him for 900 HP. Then you do 1000+2000-900 --> creature survive: here Warlock's level does matter because you will end up with the creature having more HP left at the end of the process. - You have a creature under requiem which has 1000 HP left. Your warlock would heal him for a million HP but requiem damage would hit him for 1001 HP. Your creature will die before getting healed, thus making Warlock's level total irrelevant.

Thanks for clarifying! So basicly Warlocks Level only determines the HP left after the crit survives Requiem. And the survival of Requiem depends on the Level of VS. Hence a high Warlock level does not make crits survive more often.

After casting Warlock makes your creature immune to VS spell next round which is usefull. And if you face opponents with cards like SS, Octavius, they will do so much dammage that Warlocks skill can trigger almost every turn healing HP lost. Rage control is essential.

Unfortunately this is not true I am trying to verify unfortunatelly this situation did not happen in 3 matches I just did. Spizzo is right.Requiem will afect your cards not matter if they are under Prayer already, nothing can stop Requiem.Warlock can remove it but cant prevent it from happening.
